Tojima Wants to be a Kamen Rider is really fucking weird but I love it. Borderline "too Japanese for me" as I cannot relate to the Kamen Rider show he simps for. But a 40 year old man fantasizing about being a superhero from cheesy 70s Japan Power Rangers type shit and somehow it just works out. Even though he lives in normal Japan and none of that is real he's just pretending for some reason.

Gachiakuta has a great premise, but most of the characters in that show are awful, I swear. The MC is the worst one.

So with all the sadness about one punch man I decided to read the manga. I never read mangas. The only other one I did was HxH for similar, but different reasons of never getting a new HxH anime (honestly better then the treatment OPM is getting)
I was not expecting how good this OPM manga is. It's a art is insane, and even better in some ways then season1. So I'm wondering if there are similarly good mangas out there that exceed or compliment the anime in some way. The other one I was thinking of reading was Berserk. Although I know the creator died.

If you didn't yet, then you should start. Also, you should have someone to talk to on speed dial once you get to the Eclipse (Chapter 73 ff. or so IIRC).

Cheesy kids show, but Naruto's manga wasn't bad. A lot better than the anime (and no filer bullshit). The art was good, the story was better. No complaints at all.

Miura's friend who knows how the story is supposed to go, along with his studio, is continuing it and plans on finishing it. It's extremely slow going with only a few chapters done each year, but you have tons of shit to catch up on. Berserk is an all time great manga.

Most of the filler isn't too bad, it just gets a lot of (somewhat deserved) hate due to how much of it there is. Some of the filler is exceptional, Kosuke is easily my favorite filler character, and a lot of it (+ the ovas) are the only place you'll ever see most of the side characters actually do something.

Think I'll pick up vinland as well. And hell maybe I'll do one piece. By the time I catch up we'll probably be on the final arc in the anime anyway. Generally prefer to avoid the awesome anime as I like to experience the wtf moments with anime watches so chainsaw, jjk, solo, and demon slayer are off the table.
Tokyo ghoul and Gantz came highly recommended so I put them on the reading list so I think I'm good for the next couple years lol.

Yeah Gachikuta pulled me in pretty quick with the world building and I enjoy the animation style but the story is quickly becoming nonsensical and seems unsure which plot line it wants to follow.
