Generally prefer to avoid the awesome anime as I like to experience the wtf moments with anime watches so chainsaw, jjk, solo, and demon slayer are off the table.

Tokyo ghoul and Gantz came highly recommended so I put them on the reading list so I think I'm good for the next couple years lol.

Other than manga, there's a ton of great light novels and web novels out there too if you've never checked those out. I use https://www.novelupdates.com/ to look up a series or search for something new, everything is tagged well with ratings and reviews and links to translations. Light Novels PDF has a lot of stuff in PDF form.
