Fall 2026 Anime Thread

So another new show started today.
FX Fighter Kurumi-chan. It's heavy/depressing. I watch anime for fun. This isn't making my list.

So the Isekai show, Revived as a Sword (Something like that) came out the other day. Season 2. I swore I watched season 1, but starting season 2, I was completely in the dark. So I started watching season 1 to remember and... Holy shit, I've never seen this before. The 1st episode was great. I'm in.

Subsplease uses Hidive almost exclusively to get their files. Sometimes they get something else, but it's almost always Hidive. I subscribe to Crunchy, but I still use subsplease for everything while my daughter uses the CR account.

I've now watched all of the new and resuming shows that have come out thus far. Not many, but today was packed.

Saturday:
++ Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! - Continuation from a few seasons ago. I remember the first season. Time to give th 2nd a shot. It starts off with a big problem, but it's realistically just more of the same. I'll keep watching because, why not? I liked season 1.

Sunday:
++ Tempal - Item no Chikara - Overgeared. I'll watch it This novel was fantastic, but I never really got into the manga portion. It's nice seeing the face of some of these characters, even though I know what's going to happen YEARS in the future. This entire novel set will have a run time of all of Dragon Ball, DBZ & DBGT. I doubt it'll last that long, though.

++ Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru - Reincarnated Aristocrat. Just continuation of the previous 2-seasons. And it started off in a very good way. New story, new challenges, but they'll be easily solvable.

Wednesday:
++ Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita S2 - Reincarnated as a Sword is back. I know I watched the first season when it came out, but I don't remember any of it. Gonna crash through a few episodes to jog my memory. I'm now on episode 8. I like the series, but this "blue cat" character is nudging some kind of memory. I recall a show that didn't like blue cats for... reason. I'm still not convinced I've seen this show before, though. It's odd. I also vaguely remember a fat useless "noble" guy as well, but the rest of the show isn't doing anything for my memory. Watching the first episode felt like an entirely new thing. 0 recollection there. So I just finished episode 12. I really liked the show, and outside of those 2 characters, I have zero recollection of watching this. I probably didn't. Maybe I saw a clip somewhere, which is why I remember those 2. Time to start the 2nd season.

Thursday:
xx FX Senshi Kurumi-chan - Really heavy story. Kid's mom loses the family money on "a sure thing!" stock. Then offs herself, leaving the young daughter & husband to deal with it. I'm not into this type of stuff. I watch anime for fun. I'll pass on this one.

Friday:
xx Tougen Anki - Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen - I don't really know anything about this show. I watched the intro that kind of explained what was going on, but then skipped through the part where a ton of people wearing green and gray jackets showed up with "ability" type powers. The animation doesn't do anything for me, and the characters themselves don't either. I'm gonna skip this.

Saturday:
xx Keroro Gunsou (2026) - An alien does the chores for someone, then recreates the city they live in on a miniature basis, so they can live in this city instead of the real one? I don't really understand the draw to shows like this, but it seems to hold no value in my eyes. I won't watch it.

++ Romelia Senki - Some chick, who is the daughter of a count, is set to marry the prince, but she doesn't help in battle, so he wants to give up the wedding. She doesn't really seem to mind, but who knows. I don't quite know what it is, but I like this show. It seems like a well organized slice of life kinda thing set in a world with dragons and demons and adventurers. The girl isn't perpetually weak like so many others. She actually has a brain.

+ Tensei shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto wo Hitakakusu - Chick is a saint, and gets killed in her past life for being a saint. So when she discovers she's a saint and suddenly remembers her past life, she decides to never share that she is one. Yet she has a pact with a legendary black dragon as a result of healing it. I didn't hate the show, but not sure if I'll stick with it. The 2nd episode introduced the "grand master" of the Knights, and he looks suspiciously like the demon guy that killed the saint in her past life. And the overall tone seems to have swapped from an adventure to a romance. That could be in my head, though. Half of the episode to go. Just finished the episode. It seems my theory was just that, and not true at all. I'll give this another episode or two before making a decision.

xx Zombie Sagashitemasu - I'm getting an odd vague feeling of Zom 100 from this show, but it doesn't seem funny at all. Zom 100 was such a great show, even if they completely fucked up the release schedule on it. I still really liked it, all the way through. That said, this show doesn't give me the same enjoyment, so I'm out.

xx VERTEX FORCE - Oh, gundam style robots! It's a hand animated CGI style that looks traditional. But then one of the characters was talking, and his mouth moved so fast, it felt like I was watching the muppets. The show visually looks nice, but I can't get over how bad the mouth movements are. It's bizarre. Ok, the silly gundam thing makes motorcycle sounds every time it moves. This is too bad, even for me.

+ Magical Explorer - Ok, dude plays a computer game where the MC of the game fucks (or dates... probably just dates) all these girls at this prep school. Suddenly, he himself is in that game that he was playing, but is in the role of the friend of the MC that doesn't actually get any pussy. It's a strange show, but I don't hate it yet.

xx Kashita Maryoku wa Revo Barai de Kyousei Choushuu - I don't know anything about this show. It looks really cheesey, so I don't want to even give it a shot.

Potentially. I gotta see how the rest of the season stacks up.

Ok, Ao Ashi was the only thing that was posted so far this morning, so I'll give it another shot.
Within the first few seconds, the Physics aren't Physicsing. A guy is holding the handle of a sword, and a giant Orc swings a hammer at the tip of the blade, and somehow that stops the orcs hammer, while he himself is pushed back. Then a few seconds later, that guy is given a loan of magic power, which somehow makes him stronger? He wasn't buffed, just given MP. My game knowledge is all over the place with this.
EDIT: Ok, so he now has his ability of lending magic. Amazingly, his name is Lent... But wow, he just became a full on jew. At least that's my initial understanding. Let's see how the episode progresses.
EDIT 2: Yeah, he's now a jew. But he's been upgraded to infinite jew with a sharp tooth fairy sidekick.

I like your interpretation of Lent's ability. The evils and long term bad effects of compound interest do pretty much encapsulate the Skypiercers subplot. And yes, MP is pretty much everything in this story, which is why MC is OP.

Compound interest wasn't mentioned at all in the 1st episode.
