grats man Primal was pretty awesome. For me I think FC3 and FC4 were the best, not sure which I'd pick since I never played the FC3 remaster just the original long ago.

I look forward to playing FC6, I finished all the Far Cry's but it gets to be a chore after 25 hours.

Assassins Creed 2 is still imo pretty peak AC, I replayed the Ezio Trilogy on PS4 last year and loved it. I took 5 trips to Italy over the years thanks to Assassins Creed 2 (and my wifes love of Italian luxury goods), got an Italian passport a few years ago (grandparents immigrated from Sicily), and have bought a nice vacation home in Tuscany. Inspired by a video game!

I will be honest but in character development we are so busy from start to finish that we only experience a small part of the game. I pretty much discover it with everyone else.

I loved the setting of FC5, but the only thing worse than the mechanic where you were forced to be captured 12 fucking times, was the 'ending'.

But man it was gorgeous, I explored every inch of that place. I have a weak spot for these types of games.

I enjoyed 5 well enough but ya, the getting captured thing was pure crap. Hopefully enough complaints made it back to the devs that we won't see it in 6

i've played a bit of FC6, its pretty much like every ubisoft game made in the last decade. Massive maps with the same loop of "take over area by doing the same 5-10 things, go through a story cutscene, rinse and repeat".

One nice thing is it will support 2 player co-op and it works pretty seamlessly and cross platform too, but only 2 player sadly. I think there is supposed to be some multiplayer PVP thing too but i'm not sure about that, they are always really pretty shitty in these Ubisoft games anyways.

I'd expect another 100+ hour game, to me thats the most frustrating thing, there is a core of a good game in these but they bloat it up way too much. FC4 and FC5 were fun for 15-20 hours then just got exhaustingly repetitive.

Same issue I had with AC Valhalla. These games just REFUSE TO END. They could cut the runtime by half or even two-thirds and have a fantastic game on their hands. If people want more time out of it they can just replay it. And at a reasonable length people will actually WANT to replay it. The way things are, these games completely outstay their welcome.

In October I'll be playing Metroid Dread and Castlevania/Bloodstained* so I don't know if I'll even have time for Far Cry 6. If it's a reasonable 20-30 hour game I can maybe fit it in somewhere. However if it turns out to be another 90 hour slog I might just pass on it until some later time.

* - Doing a Halloween-themed co-play series with a friend. Castlevania Rondo of Blood and SOTN, then Bloodstained (the modern one and the two retro ones). I've never played any of those except SOTN so I'm looking forward to that.

Edit: It's worth noting that I have this pre-ordered and do plan to play it.

I have been seeing the promo of the game and I like it alot. I think they have been using the actor pretty well.

Edit: The worst part (pre-actually playing it, that is) about the 'politics' of Far Cry 6 is that they have gone to great lengths to NOT base the fictional country on Communist Cuba. Giancarlo Esposito's character is a stand-in for Batista, not Castro.

I dunno, we thought FC5 was gonna be hyper-political and it turned out not to be.

The fact that they've released the same game over and over for years is a reason not to buy Far Cry 6, if they didn't politicize the crap out of 5 I doubt they'll do it with 6.
