In Midgar Cloud has a couple scenes where he collapses and hes in his own head a little bit. It doesnt elaborate at all at this point in the original game.

Maybe they agree just going to flush this stuff out early since everyone already knows the deal.

I gotta say as a mega fan of FF7 I am pleasantly surprised with what I've seen so far.

I was worried about losing ATB but it looks great.

They confirmed materia.

The voices seem good so far.

Models are amazing.

And Tifa might inspire some Overwatch quality porn so that's good.

In the trailer (2.55), Cloud also got a new sword. So equipment changes (visual) confirmed. Can also see visual of the materia equipped on several weapons, including Barret.

Trailer and presentation got me very hyped again. Was worried about combat system, but not so much anymore. Looks like a good combination of active, but tactical.

The last JRPG I played was Persona 5 and it was just a chill experience. I don't generally like, "menu based combat" RPGs but I think the pace of these games make them really pleasant to relax to.

I'll probably pick this up.

Yeah hes wielding Hard Edge, you steal it from a soldier in your first visit to Shinra Headquarters.

Little things like that tying it closely to the original give me a lot of hope.

It also ties into Reunion. The theme of the second part of the game is if Cloud is chasing Sephrioth because of his own free will or if he is just being compelled to follow JENOVA like a puppet. So that concept is now applied to the first part of the game too, is Cloud attacking the Shinra Building to rescue Aeris or because that's where JENOVA is?

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, the very clever way they implemented ATB has earned that.

I like your version of how it would work. Whether or not that's how they saw it, I guess we'll find out. Makes sense, though. I do hope there's even more background info about the Reunion/JENOVA stuff like there is in the original that you have to hunt around for, like talking to Hojo at Costa Del Sol, searching all the data at Aeris' old home up North, and obviously exploring all of the Shinra Mansion.

I'm surprised people might have thought equipment wouldn't change. As soon as they showed the materia in weapons (and note, the materia slots) should have known we would see the gear change throughout. Can't put 8 materia in the Buster Sword.

The latest trailer did seem to slow down or show combat in its more "real form" and yes it looks better than 15..

Tifa's tits are WAY WAY WAY to small, they still should be BIG maybe not as insanely large as original but now its just any ol girl that actually has tits size... sad what SJW culture has done to anime

I'm pretty sure they were only absurdly huge in that one FMV where they flopped out of control. Otherwise they were just big fine titties. which is what this model looks like. Also, her attack animations looked great. Can't wait to play this.
