Part of the issue also is they also listen a lot to the Japanese playerbase, who have their own quirk and which can have knock-on effects. One common complaint in Japan was rotation complexity, mostly because it is a pain in the ass on a controller since consoles are probably the biggest playerbase there. I think that was one reason why a lot of classes seemed to get dumbed down
Speaking of dumb, one annoying thing from that interview is the interviewer mentioned the puzzles they had in the 7.3 MSQ and how those seemed well received. But then YoshiP mentioned that hardcore raiders cried that they couldn't skip the puzzles. I liked the puzzles, it made the MSQ a bit more interactive rather than talk to this, go here, etc. Just add a "raider streamer mode" where the puzzles get auto-solved since most of those streamers seem to have room temperature IQ for anything beyond "simon says" in a raid fight
