Agree, however, one thing i noticed beta was that it seemed like to be able to repair effectively would have required three or rmore skills. This was for archer.I'm thinking the would-be raiders should at least try to get a crafting class up in tandem with their main job. Main thought there as to why is mid-raid repairs.
That was a bug, and they claim it's been fixed.I think I remember repairs being a static price regardless of the damage to the item? Like a 1% durability repair vs a completely broken item costs the same amount? I might be wrong but I vaguely remember that being discussed. If that is the case, avoid the easy repair all and take a few seconds to see which pieces are actually low on durability and do them individually to save money.
Yeah, I like the ISIS name as well. That was a bug, and they claim it's been fixed.
Re: crafting, I tried Weaving in beta and have zero interest in doing a crafting skill at all based on that experience. I'm just going to do Botany and give the shit to whoever needs it.
Edit: Also, another vote here for keeping the ISIS name.
I'm not so sure about this, If you had suggested it a year ago, maybe... but I made a facebook post about buying FFXIV and I was pretty floored at the level of response I got. I don't think it's going to be WoW 2.0, but I think this game is going to be at Least as popular as SWTOR initially, which had a pretty good 6 month run, and I "do" have more faith in this game long term than I did in swtor (after about 2 months of playing when it became clear they weren't going to be able to deliver on their content delivery promises)The only way that won't be true, is if this game is WOW 2.0. Its not, and those servers will be dead in a month.
Good choice going with Gilgamesh - in fact, its the only choice if you have any interest in playing longer than 4 weeks.
Agree, name has my vote as wellYeah, I like the ISIS name as well.
Easily worth 20 bucks... you can't even take a date to the movies for 20 bucks. Is this worth $20? I am debating a whole lot...
Its only $20? With subscription? o_oIs this worth $20? I am debating a whole lot...
They haven't said that though, it keeps being re-iterated that crafted gear IS good and will be on par later on. In version 1.0 crafting was the whole backbone of the gameWhy bother with crafting at all if all the crafting gear is worse than drops? Seems like a waste of effort. Just so you can repair your own gear? There is no point in doing that unless every single person in the raid is also capable, which is unlikely at best. I understand people like crafting intrinsically, but as deep as the crafting system is in this game it seems like a wasted effort with no payoff. Who are you making this gear for if all of it is worse then dropped loot?
