Replying to myself here because I had another point:

In Canada we don't have a massive black population (although BLM STILL marched around crying racism last year, SMH) so our media/government-sponsored conditioning has been centered around the Indigenous.

I work in an industry where I saw first hand the manipulation, the greed, the selfishness, of the Indigenous as they outright lie and steal millions from the oil and gas industry, holding up projects for no reason other than media exposure and increased potential for monetary rewards. Their Chiefs are millionaires while most of them move from one destroyed government-supplied housing unit to another, and yet they refuse to acknowledge the real issues. Just like black has been set against white in society, within the indigenous community the 0.1% manipulate the rest to hate whitey and ignore the fact that the 0.1% is living high while the rest literally scrounge in the dirt.

Anyway - Free Rittenhouse. I was gutted by that video of him breaking down. That shit had me in tears. That kid needs to destroy the media when he is done.

It would be interesting to see the results of a poll that asks people on either side of the partisan divide whether they'd make their political opponents disappear. Something like "if you could wave a magic wand and make every [Republican/Democrat] disappear, would you?"

I would assume that the percentage of Yes votes would be much higher on the left side. But it would be interesting to find out what the actual figures are.

Maybe a poll similar to this already exists and I haven't seen it yet, in which case, anyone who has, feel free to post it.

i compare my own opinions from 2018 to now, and there is a stark difference. people i interact with in RL are expressing opinions you wouldn't hear openly 2 years ago.

I'm also totally different from 2018. I thought Trump was doing a surprisingly good job but I was still a democrat in terms of what ideology I thought worked best for the country and so forth, even though they'd been slowly losing me since Zimmermania and the 2014+ advent of Weird Tumblr Crap. 2019 I was mostly off the plantation simply because I was catching the dems in so many lies about Trump and it was at the point where they had basically no credibility anymore. However 2020 was when they really blew me away with how bad they actually are. In 2018 I had beef with the far-left but I was pretty nice about it, now I'm pissed-off and vocal.
