It truly feels like Sony is trying to speedrun the demise of the Playstation brand and fanbase. It's like they spent all these years building it up just to hand it over to a bunch of activists and have them ruin any goodwill fans gave them.
So true.
I remember getting a 360 and how as Microsoft's own hubris started to take hold as the releases stagnated and they pivoted towards casuals with those lame Mii-from-temu things and the Kinect.
Then with the comeback is Sony and a bunch of powerhouse releases while finally making due on their promises with things like the Killzone 2 trailer. And while I never owned a PS1 or PS2, I at least know just how much of a legacy Sony already had, only to continually shove everything from the PS3 era and before into a box that they'd rather set fire to than ever try to emulate (literally and figuratively).
In retrospect, the success of their third person walky-talky games like from Naughty Dog led them in the wrong direction to where they stopped really caring about making
games first, and that has only gotten worse as studios like Naughty Dog were taken over by activists who would rather be making gay romantic dramas in Pedowood if given the opportunity (see: Neil Cuckman).
Right when this generation began, I honestly thought I'd wait to see if there was any reason to buy a PS5 knowing full well that it would really just be a Bloodborne/Demon's Souls machine, but between everything they do and plucky PC emulation persistence, they can choke on all of the rainbow dildos if they're seriously going to repeat the same mistake as other companies by appealing to some >.01% of terminally online zippertit twitter twats.
Eh, this will initially sell OK to Sony Ponys but this otherwise not be the huge hit the first one was. I mean, the game is the game but if the story sucks in a single player game, Girlboss/DEI/Woke garbage, people aren't going to pay to lectured to any longer.
All signs point to another Activist takeover of a successful IP.
No question on the Sony fanatic base because they
do need a reason to justify their remaster box and/or
Pro remaster box.
As for Sony, they're also losing favor with the PC market due to their retarded PSN requirement, but they're too arrogant to understand that PC players effectively treat their soft exclusivity window on Playstation not only as a premium open beta version that also serves as an indicator as to whether the game is worth a damn in the first place.
Everyone already knew that the first Ghost of Tsushima was a solid game well before the official PC release, but now they get to blow their load on another patent-pending woke double down sequel. If it truly is infected, then they'll have to show their hand - hell, wokescolds are such belligerent faggots that they'll openly show their cards all on their own - which is funny in its own right because it will yet again disprove Sony's asinine strategy of releasing games on PC thinking anyone would buy their soy box for a markedly worse sequel.
