I've said it giff for as long as it's been around. Never heard anyone call it a Jiff before.

edit: After thinking about it I propose a new system that assigns gender to gifs:

The soft jiff - feminine gifs - kittens playing, kids, and trannies, sappy shit
The hard giff - masculine gifs - explosions, bodily mutilation, dumb shit

Yea, I've never heard it pronounced any other way than "gif". And Im keeping "gif" to be pronounced as "gif". None of the jiffy bullshit.
