So you think just because you are fighting white walkers that an army doesn't need to move or get into position or eat or any of that? They are just going to sit around and wait for them? I know one thing, you have never went over anyones head.

There's some merit to training the women and children to a limited degree, I think, especially if you know your opponent will kill every last one of you if possible. Regular armies rape and pillage some but rarely completely erase everyone from existence. Obviously you need people to take care of certain elements of logistics and support on a basic level, but when push comes to shove, it's good to have some of these people be slightly capable. Plus, there'd probably be at least some portion of women/children that were capable enough to be a fighting unit, so it'd be good to find those people and use them. Everyone will have to do more and they're already performing these jobs so they'll just have less time to gossip and knit in the evening. It's not like they'd necessarily be training all day long. Plus you have all the old people and young children to help out with the non-combat parts as well.

That's a good point. I just think it is way too late for that training to be worth anything if it's anymore then pick up the dragon glass and stab or run away.

Surprisingly good episode. Revenge porn jacked up my score by about 2. I also love solid fantasy set pieces and Dragonstone fit the bill.
It's weird, because I thought the episode was just okay, but this might be the first time watching the show where I paid a lot of attention to the sets.

Dragonstone, the Citadel, and Winterfell all looked like they cost a fucking fortune to build.

I watch the show but I have trouble following it. Question:

1. Is Jon a targ? If so how?

2. What is significant of Jon meeting Dany? Are they related?

My Troll sense is tingling on a July 3rd member.

Damn you're dumb. You still seem to think this is like fighting a regular war. There's no meeting at some pre-determined time and location and then coming back to treat the wounded. They also have no choice but to wait for them, you think they're going to attack an army out in the open who's not affected by cold during the coldest winter in however many years? Plus, not only will they slaughter every last man/woman/and child, but each one they kill makes their own army stronger. Anyone that can't defend themselves is a huge liability and has no business being there.

But sure, herp a derp, Jamie's speech totally wrecked Jon Snow's

Decent episode, but the Arya stuff felt poorly done. I don't like how "TV" her character has started to feel. Doesn't belong in this show.

The Sam scene had me dying cause it just make me think, there had to be a prop guy on set during filming who's job at one point, was to make a whole batch of realistic looking shit.

I was in a prop factory delivering materials for Jurassic Park, they make 55 gal drum of faux shit in 15 minutes with a cement mixer. They probably spend hours placing it ever so perfectly and lighting it to make it shine on film. Movie money is crazy, prop departments crank it out. Super weird Autistic Artist types.

Agree, the Frey revenge was too easy and fast. But obviously taking out Circei isn't going to be that easy, something is going to stop Arya. Seemed obvious Euron is gonna go find the dragonhorn, only thing that can make Cirsei relevant.

Also with regards to the "You can't trust a Targaryen" thing for next week, they're probably just trying to broker a deal with her for Dragonglass once they hear from Sam that that's where the stash is. Bet the masses don't start finding out about Jon's true ID til later this season, maybe the end of it, or even next season.

Roistering was the coping mechanism of choice where I was.

The more shit they piled on, the louder-- by the finale, people were shouting observational humor at the top of their damn lungs.
