This. Anyone who says they need to get rid of the entire Cersei blowing up the Sept of Baelor is crazy. That entire build up with the music was A+.

Season 6 having good moments doesn't mean it wasn't also full of total garbage. Arya's entire plotline was terrible, the entire Dorne plotline was terrible, the lead up to the Battle of the Bastards was stupid, most of Dany's plotline was stupid and just saved by 'hey look how much of the CGI budget we spent on the dragons'.

Maybe it wasn't as bad as S7 or S8 but the quality of the show fell off a cliff after S5.

Yeah, season 6 is better than 7 and 8 but it's far from good. That's like saying getting punched in the face then kicked in the dick is better than being set on fire. Technically true, but nobody wants either of those things.

While I agree that overall season 6 wasn't great, especially the Arya parkour bullshit after being gutted like a pig, there were some great episodes and scenes that season. The "hold the door" episode was brilliant, seeing Ramsay Bolton finally get his just desserts was awesome (especially Sansa feeding him to his own dogs), and seeing that The Hound was still alive were all great scenes. Granted, overall it was not nearly as amazing as seasons 1 through 5, but I still didn't hate it. Seasons 7 and 8 were god fucking awful.

there was so much dumbness in the episode leading to that moment. i dont think you can say that scene was the dumbest. it was just the cherry on top of the dumb cake.

The people who thought the hold the door scene was a good idea, are probably dumber.

the terrible Tower of Joy fight was Season 6 too and I would argue that it's the worst choreographed fight scene in the entire series because the only fight scene that's worse clearly had no choreographer at all.

Right, literally no choreographer at all.

The fight scenes were pretty shit even in the early seasons. The dreadfort raid by the Ironborn was like season 4 or 5.

The Dorne shit in season 5 really sent the quality downhill. Seasons 1-4 are in their own category.

Tower of Joy was a fucking masterpiece compared to that Sand Snakes shit. Holy fuck. That gif will live forever. Thank god for the one chick's tits at least.

The battle at Winterfell should have been amazing, instead you just couldn't fucking see anything and all the sacrifices were pointless and the story meant nothing lol oh well let's see what Cersei's up to.
