See in the show, they're still kind of clinging to the fact she was in love with Renly, or at least, the IDEA she had of Renly after he was kind to her at the one party. Obviously back in Season 2/3 when her and Jaime were traveling back to KL you could tell she was getting it in the feels, but they've strayed away from that and focused more on her ongoing quest in the show to be about duty, and duty for itself first and not just because of her interest in Jaime.
in the book wasnt jaime getting a boner when he was in the bath with brienne? what i mean is, jaime has feelings for brienne as well. he ignored cersei's letter but when brienne summoned him, he dropped everything and left to meet her.

He doesn't have to be in love with Brienne, she's a big part of his hope to become a better person. I don't remember the boner part, but that's hardly proof of love.

I think he respects Brienne, and in some ways wishes he had some of that purity of purpose she does (or seems to, at least). Definitely something there, but I don't think he's got the full blown feels for her.

I don't remember boner either. Astro or...?

It wasn't a full blown boner, more like a half chub. It was in the bath scene though.

i dunno how you guys find quotes from the books, but something like after looking at brienne naked, he felt his "cock stir" or something.

Absurdly, he felt his cock stir beneath the bathwater. Now I know I have been too long away from Cersei. He averted his eyes, troubled by his body's response. "That was unworthy ," he mumbled. "I'm a maimed man, and bitter. Forgive me, wench. You protected me as well as any man could have, and better than most."

Yes, but that doesn't mean he loves her.

Yeah, he grew to actually respect her. Which from him is a lot I don't think he really respects a whole lot of people.

thanks for finding it. i dunno if he has the big L for brienne, but i think he realizes that there is life outside of cersei and that brienne means a lot to him.
We just see that more in the books than the show by far. Not sure what the future plans more but I find him turning his back on Cersei in the books very enjoyable.

Think about where Jamie is right now in the show. He's on a boat with either a dead or dying daughter. If she dies, maybe he says fuck it and goes north and meets back up with Brianne. Maybe the whole terrible Dorn plot was to kill two story birds with one stone.

Dorne is too close to Oldtown and Dany to not continue to be relevant.

I was talking about how they changed the story to put Jamie in Dorne and the the characters he replaced. Doran and Dorne are not done.

Tyrion set up the Myrcella 'exchange' and was on very good terms with Oberyn. I'm sure Doran knows Oberyn was Tyrion's champion so he would more than likely hold some respect for Tyrion. Who is now Dany's 'Hand?'

Dear Prince Doran,
I am Tyrion Lannister and I'm with Dany. She has a large army of Unsullied and Dothraki and needs a safe place to land and set up her attack on Kings Landing. Can we crash at your place for a few nights?

Love, T

Aren't there supposed to be 2 more books? One extra season (8 seasons vs 7 books) doesn't seem particularly outrageous.
