This is kind of what I wish they had done as an alternative story in Cyberpunk With Jackie Wells. Having a Partner can change up the story quite a bit.
That said, watching the video was causing my computer to smoke. Those are some insane animations. Maybe the whole year longer thing involves the realization that the game has to actually be playable, regardless of animation. As noted, 2027 should be time enough for me to upgrade for it. They has Gay and Woke in Cyberpunk. It did not bother me.

I saw at least two storylines IMO. The guy it started with is definitely playable, and obviously the main chick. I don't think it was her boyfriend. So they'll probably have a third playable character too.
Kinda wish they didn't do the split story thing again but that's what it looks like to me.

Did we watch the same trailer? The dude and the chick are definitely a couple(at least as a base story) and where the bonny/clyde references are coming from.
What's the highest console atm? Ps5 pro? What's the GPU equivalent? 3070ti? 4070? Seems crazy to push such graphics when your first focus is console.

100% sure they meant PS5 Pro though, there's no way in hell a plain one is looking like that.
RX 7700XT, more or less. I don't think there's a direct Nvidia equivalent, it's sorta between 4060Ti and 4070.

Game looks amazing on a technical level. Story wise... eh? Not much to go on there. And overall, GTA stories/plot aren't that important to me. Having good missions/set pieces and a great sandbox to play around in is the thing. A Bonny + Clyde / "Us against the world, babe!" type plot is fine with me if that's what it ends up being.

GTA 4 was weak as fuck in that area. Even 3 was kinda weak on story. Not bad, just not all that great. VC and SA are the standouts, and even those are just recycled movie plot conglomerations. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
I forget which game and mission it is, but there's one that's basically a shot by shot recreation of the shootout/chase scene from 'To Live and Die in LA' and it's fantastic even if you know where they got it from.

While GTA 4 had some boring early missions and a lame relationship system, the bank heist is one of the most memorable missions in any GTA game. I also think Niko was easily the most empathetic character out of all the games and characters like Roman and Brucie were hilarious.

Re: story, the reason I loved VC and SA so much is that the characters had agency and drive. With GTA IV and all the characters in GTA V I felt like they were just reacting to what was going on around them. I never felt like I was building up to anything. Maybe I just prefer games where I become king of the area.
