With 4 episodes left in the season if it all becomes about "Heartbroke harley not getting her scissorsoulmate" I'm going to be let down based on how great it's been up until that plot line... Plus if they screw over Kite Man I will never forgive them. (hell yeah!)

Eh, it's trite and predictable plot line, but the episodes manage to be pretty good regardless - the whole Darkseid storyline was hilarious. I'll reserve judgement til watching them i think.

Everyone has to be expecting a "speak now or forever hold your peace..." moment, but the writers know that and may very well throw us a curve ball. With all the major changes that have been wrought over this season (classic rogues dying etc) I have to wonder if a Crisis-type event wont pop up outta nowhere and reset the continuity but with Harley and crew somehow unaffected and wondering what the fuck happened and how soandso is back alive etc.

Ivy really does seem to love Kite Bro though and he’s a good guy. Seems like your only options are killing him off or being polyamorous. Or Harley stays unreciprocated (Ivy does make a good point that Harley is too manic and not a stable option currently, whereas Kite Man is actually committed).

WAY late to find this show. Kind of struggled with the first episodes since I am not very DC knowledgeable. However, after that the internal dynamics of the characters, the voice talents, the 1980's references and other pop-culture references (that "I got") held me on. The show is similar to both "Archer" and "Rick and Morty." You just can't take the plots or the world seriously. The voice characterizations are so spot-on that I laugh out loud at times. I really don't care that 50-70% of the jokes may sneak by me because I lack context or knowledge. The ones that land, land hard. Example- I don't understand the Bain jokes, but they are still funny!
It could use to be sexier. Poison Ivy should have been drawn far more alluring. She is too plain. I liked seeing Harley's ass when she was hanging from a hook. It was not pornographic nor truly nudity at all, it was just suggestive and sexy-- the show could use a little more of that. They love to say "fuck," almost to a fault-- but I guess if I were the first TV animator that was given that rite, I might overuse it for a bit too.
I finished season 1. Thumbs up from me. Stupidly funny stuff with a lot of nuances and intermittent depth. I think my fav may have been the Bar Mitzvah episode... I may rewatch it now and see if I get more satisfaction from the first few eps.

I never made it through Bale's Dark Knight movies. Can't stand them, in fact. Something about their tone of over-seriousness and importance. I dunno. Hate 'em. Kinda hated the recent Superman stuff too. What I LOVED from DC was "Swamp Thing" and that got torpedoed by them. Guess me & DC just don't understand one another... until now, maybe.

Very underwhelmed by the season finale....
Screw them for screwing Kiteman over. Then within 5 minutes of watching his heart break and him fly off that she's professing her scissoring love and driving off into the sunset? Meh. If they don't get a season 3 I won't mind. Although it's just about assured to get one since the world is desperate for content and hopefully they'll get the writing back on point. Although now they have to face the "main characters finally got together" shark jumping.
