The Sapochnik guy was who directed some of the better episodes in GoT, the c section scene was really just to illustrate the King and his character, no one cared about his first wife, a major plot point is his upcoming marriage anyway so I dont understand why people would be upset about it. Maybe they could of filmed it differently?

The guy Taylor coming in to replace Sapodick worked on GoT as well, but also Rome, Sopranos, Mad Men and 7 episodes of Thrones including the final 2 episodes in season 1.

So far its meh. I really only pay attention when Daemon or the dragons are on screen. My thought on the bridge scene was to foreshadow the coming war between downy girl and Daemon. Its like one step below GOT S7 - S8 in quality.
Its just sort of one dimensional. GOT S1 episoses 1 and 2 had the dire wolf puppies, incest between the queen and her brother, characters like Tyrion, Jaime, Robert and Ned, White Walkers, Roz and her big ole titties, and more.
This show has Dragons and Daemon so far.

The hits keep coming. This is the first time someone has put it under S7 S8. I'm inclined to agree but I need to see how it plays out.
I'd rewatch a whole season of Picard before I'd call House of the Dragon interesting.

Its just subpar across the board and I blame the writers more than anything.
By end of episode two of GOT, you had characters that you "remembered". Tyrion, Arya, John, Robert/Ned. Others come later but those five are fleshed out and interesting after 2 hours. Jaime/Cersei fucking is "left field shit" but the characters havent had enough time to develop yet.
HOD i see the idea they have, fight for succession between downy chick and her uncle. The king gets tons of air time and is pivotal to the main plot. Him choosing to not marry the 12 uear old means his daughter has to worry about a possible new heir in 9 months and not 4 years. Aside from what I wrote, name a character who is interesting, you remember and want to know more about.
