A 1,300-square-foot mosaic uncovered in Syria depicting scenes of the Trojan War, a legendary conflict that took place between the ancient Greeks and the people of Troy more than 2,000 years ago, is the 'rarest' ever to be found due to how remarkably intact it is.

The stunning Roman-era artwork, constructed 1,600 years ago, is adorned with soldiers carrying swords and shields, along with their names, and images of fierce Amazons who fought alongside the people of Troy.

The mosaic is the latest to be found in Rastan in northern Syria's Homs district, which the government seized back from rebels in 2018 after years of bloodshed - a year after armed groups attempted to sell pieces of the mosaic in 2017 and listed it on social media platforms.

Archaeologists, who made the announcement Wednesday, have so far uncovered 65 feet of the detailed mosaic in what may have been the floor of an ancient bathhouse.

Twitter battles wave of impersonators after launching new paid verification system
Musk argued during a Twitter Spaces event with advertisers Wednesday that even wealthy bad actors such as state-sponsored disinformation agents would eventually be deterred because they may run out of credit card and phone numbers.

Asked by CNN to respond to that claim, Chris Krebs, the former director of the US government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, tweeted a GIF from the cartoon “Futurama” showing the character Fry narrowing his eyes in skepticism.

This video has a pretty good angle on it. Literally slices the B17 in half from the impact

A Georgia sheepdog called Casper is recovering from injuries after squaring off against a pack of coyotes, killing eight of them, while protecting his flock. Wierwiller says that Casper disappeared for two days after the brutal fight. "We knew he was hurt because we found parts of his tail and blood and other things, so we were worried," Wierwiller said.

Casper eventually returned to the farm with visible injuries. Wierwiller said it "looked like a coyote grabbed his skin and peeled it right off."

The LifeLine Animal Project, an organization with a mission to end euthanasia of healthy animals, has stepped in to help raise money for Casper's hospital bills. The group launched a GoFundMe to cover the $15,000 hospital bill and has already exceeded its goal and will use remaining funds to help save future animal lives.
Honor to the soldier everywhere who bravely bears his country's cause for while peace has its victories, it takes brave men to win them.

Hydrophobia in Rabies is caused by extreme pain in the patient when swallowing fluids, including water and saliva. This is why animals with Rabies will be often seen drooling heavily from their mouths. As a matter of fact, Rabies will make the muscles paralyzed sooner or later. The pain that the sufferers feel when swallowing fluids, including saliva, is due to the inability of the muscles responsible to control swallowing.

In addition, Rabies can develop quickly which can lead to death in just a few days. Therefore, it is very important to see a doctor immediately after being bitten by certain animals.

The virus (lyssaviruses) has been proven to persist in the body for several weeks, or even up to 3 months, before finally infecting the patient’s body. If rabies is not treated until a certain time the virus transmitted by the animal will attack the nervous system and brain.

Rabies symptoms in Humans:

Rabies symptoms manifest 4-12 weeks after a bite. In early symptoms, the condition can last for 2 to 10 days. The early symptoms include:

Fever reaches 38 degrees celcius or more
Headache
Worry too much
Feeling not healthy overall
Sore throat
Cough
Nausea and vomiting
Loss of appetite
Pain in bitten area

Over time, the symptoms will get worse if it hasn’t been treated immediately. There are severe symptoms that can appear in people with rabies. These symptoms are a sign that the patient’s condition is getting worse. Sufferers begin to experience acute nervous system disorders, such as:

Feeling confused and restless
More aggressive and hyperactive
Sometimes it goes through a quiet period
Muscle cramps and paralysis may occur
Excessive breathing (hyperventilation), sometimes difficulty breathing
Produce more saliva
Rabies causes fear of water (hydrophobia)
Trouble in swallowing
Hallucinating, having bad dreams, and insomnia
Permanent erection in men
Fear of light (photophobia)

If those symptoms haven’t been treated immediately, patients can lose their lives due to complications in heart and respiratory organs.
