Okay serious question: have you watched any other animated anything?
I'm legitimately baffled as to how you could think Invincible is 'on point'. It has a few moments of looking acceptable bordering on good, and almost all of those are contained in the final 1.5 episodes with the Thragg confrontation.
Everything outside that looks, at best, like a Saturday morning cartoon from 25 years ago. Hell, the old Batman series makes this look like a joke.

The style is separate from the animation. The animation was poorly done all season. I shouldn't notice the same cell used across 5 scenes. What is this, DBZ from 3 decades ago?

Yea the style is fine mostly. You're never gonna translate that kind of hand-drawn comic detail to animation, and they did as good a job as anyone was going to really.
But there's no excusing the poor framerate and literal .png cutouts they zoom in on and call 'animation'.
Shit like this is *constant* throughout the entire season. You can literally see when it stops being an animated frame and is instead a still imagine they are just zooming in to the camera perspective.

Not saying its great but at least it's not getting butchered. I got sucked into the last episode of the boys because of the Soldier boy prequel. It's kind of weird Jenson Is upstaging Star. Guess it's writing in the end

Yeah this isn't an anime and a lot of people want it to be, but it's not? I'd rather have recognizable voice actors than better animation. That's a lot of where I think Anime is lacking, same 15 voice actors who sound vaguely like 9 year old girls whether they are or not. Or sometimes a 9 year old girl trying to do the voice of an adult man.

I think one point they brought up is in order to keep the "1 season per year" thing going, they had to scale back some of the animation complexity on average. It's a tradeoff - would you prefer animation on par with season 1 but it takes 2-2.5 years between seasons, or get 1 season a year?

I have no idea how it is in dub land, but there are hundreds of VAs in Japan doing the original voices. And aside from the exceptionally rare Cowboy Bebop the Japanese voices are just incomparably better.
