Can we talk about how dumb it is to call a villian Darkside and he is from Planet Apocalypse?
You want to sit the whole species down and have a talk about how bad we are at naming anything? Cause that's literally what you're up against.

None of this is accurate. His name is Darkseid and he is from Planet Apokolips.

Oh wait, part of it was accurate, it is dumb.

can we discuss a giant from the planet Titan?
It's the difference between having a plain English name that means "bad guy" and a name obscured in another language that means "bad guy".

Like "Dr Doom" being fucking stupid but "Voldemort" being more interesting.

English is a Germanic language, not a Romance (Latin based) language. When the Romans were here the country spoke a Celtic language.

English does have a very large amount of Latin/French loan words but you can avoid using them as there's almost always alternate words. Like feeling sick (Anglo-Saxon origin) vs feeling ill (Norman French origin). It's why English is so well suited for music and literature, lots of synonyms.

really didn't understand, in 1st battle if darkseid had the omega force or not. his eyes are dim
View attachment 344079
his eyes are glowing later on, then get way bright after steppenwolf's death, and then basically on fire in cycborg's vision
He only used that shit when attacking Atlanteans... Under water. The fuck.

Reminds me of the first Decepticon encounter in the Transformers movies, motherfucker just wipes out an entire base with aoe blasts. Never seen again after that.

no its not

Germanic and Norse tribes
the point is, Darkseid from a planet called Apokolips is no sillier than a giant from the planet Titan. comic book character names were made with kids in mind to describe plainly what they're about. so they would buy the comic book.
