Mostly through book three of Defiance, Still enjoying it but holy fuck what's going to happen to the audio books once he gets more titles? His status screen already takes 3 minutes to get through every time.
Gotta pad that word count for KU somehow!

At some point they condense it quite a bit, and the longer the book goes on the less it's repeated.

I still skip through the stat sections though. The stat pages in this genre make sense for printed books but they need to do something different for audio books.

You'd think that, but you should read some of his other series, talk about cognitive and tonal whiplash.

"Goofy fun" is a deliberate style he's going for for Chrysalis.
I read about a book and a half of Chrysalis now, and I like it quite a bit. And I'm guessing he'll be an ant forever, but that is actually cool with me now. Aside from the typical RR 4 minute chapters (that keep me up way too late because there is always time for just one more 4 minute chapter, right?!), it is engaging and fun, just like you said. He repeats a lot of phrases, particularly when talking about his acid-shooting butt, but other than that it is definitely an engaging style. Now I'm interested to read some of his other stuff if he writes them differently.

Unless they suddenly turn to shit I don't know why I wouldn't blast through everything available.

2 hour daily commute so audio books are my go to for the ride. A lot of the times I am left alone for days on end so 10 hours of listening a day gets books done very quickly.
