I work excessively long hours. My wife does a GREAT job of making sure the house is cleaned, etc.

I am with you there. I love my wife and I don't regret getting married, but shit is hard work. If for whatever reason she is no longer in the picture, I damn sure really don't want to have another go at it.

And there was a web comic one time where all the frames was of a wife/girlfriend constantly on her phone messaging or whatnot, and in the final frame she is barking at her husband/boyfriend playing video games for being addicted. Yeah that happened last night. Mine is not too bad on the phone thing, but she sure does watch a ton of TV and yet thinks anything more than an hour or so of video gaming is bad. Because, yeah I totally want to watch that Wednesday night marathon of fixer upper reruns, or Chicago Fire/Med/PD/sanitation department, what the hell was I thinking.

That show is pretty much porn for chicks. Hot guy remodels a home and installs a fancy new kitchen? Sploosh.

Video gaming used to be a big fight for us. Never understood it either, could binge watch 10 hours of tv. But fuck all if you play games for an hour. There was a fight we had where I boxed my console and pc up and laid on the floor going alright we're doing what you want. I know I went a bit overboard but it worked, seriously haven't heard a peep about it since and that was probably 5 years ago.

Never a fight here. I told her when we were dating that it was my biggest hobby and she'd have to accept that. Maybe she thought I was exaggerating but it's never been an issue

Yeah same. I think it becomes a larger issue when dudes bait-and-switch their video game times where they completely disassociate from it when the relationship is new and then turn it back on. She did try and tell me I couldn't play WoW which I agreed to since I was still in my post-WoW addiction phase and had no desire to go back. Anymore she doesn't care that I play WoW. She'll even boot it up from time to time and frustrate me with her terribleness at the game.

My wife plays WoW, video games are never an issue. She wants me to play with her, but I'd rather flay my own dick than ever raid again. We're both pretty much comfortable with doing our own thing and having a few scheduled together times per week.

Especially since the dude went nuts
