Why do people say this kind of stuff. Yes someone did claim that. Paulie said he hit like a fucking girl. You meant YOU never claimed he didn't have pop. But paulie saying it is why those videos are funny.

This. When Paulie was salty about the pics coming out, he claimed that previously saying Conor had "above average power" was just him being diplomatic and trying to sugar coat things. Mook got fucked up

Paulie is now saying they edited that video clip and compiled all of it. And he keeps saying he's not in fight shape.

8oz is nice but i dont think a 100 dollar price point is still not there.

they're marketing hard i have to listen to a full length ad anytime im on the phone with tech support, not skippable. But that price point should have been set at 69.99. 100 is sidelining too many buys it makes them start questioning the fight and if its worth it.

there is some spectacle in the price point itself. I don't think that's a good thing.

I wonder who buys most of these things. Bars will still be buying it even if it was $200. My family is all gathering at someone's house and watching it. We normally only do that for UFC fights. But to tell the truth, if there's a way to steal it, the place we're going will be stealing it. So we might not be buying it.

Was just comin to post about the "one time" 8oz glove rule change. Not sure how much it will change in grand scheme of things, but still interesting!

Friend of ours is buying it at his and wife's house who are both huge Conor fans. Few people should be over there. Think we are all pitchin in like $10. No way I'd order this thing for $100 on my own though.

edit: I def wouldn't go to any bars or anything for this though. I went to a large pool hall / bar when Jones fought Rashad Evans and that place was absolutely jam packed. Can't imagine what other places will be like for this one. Probably wouldn't even be able to move around, much less order a drink or anything

Yeah I remember a bar I use to frequent a few years ago and owner stopped ordering UFC / Boxing ppv's. IIRC he said he had to pay something crazy like $5k for it. Some events would pay off but the majority didn't I guess.

one of my local theaters is showing it for $42

That's insane. I assume nobody is going alone, so even 2 people have nearly paid for the PPV. Why not just get it for yourself if you're willing to pay that? Or better yet, go to a bar and put it toward beer (The general "you". I realize you didn't say anything about going)

I heard Europe/Ireland is charging normal PPV costs. Not sure if that is confirmed.

They are speculating that they can bilk the cows in the US market, but weren't so confident about overseas.

15,000 for a PPV probably wouldn't cover around here even at the Football stadium bars I just can't see that many drinks going on. Outside of the major US cities I don't see how a bar covers that in one night. Its hard to imagine.

was looking at some bars, they are either doing $10-40 cover
or $10-15 cover + $10 minimum tab

while i don't know how "city" bars would cover it, lot of our bars set up "beer gardens" which some use
to double+ their cap, which i doubt they would report to ppv people.
nothing more fun that standing in a roped off parking lot looking at a tv mounted to the side of the bar.

looks like theater dealo is being put on by Fathom Events.

$40 is the "recommended" price
local to me is $42 + $2 fees
friend checked it was $45.50 + fees
some places have $25 for kids 11 and under :)

Ticketmaster has a lot of casinos showing it $20 to $40

speaking of Europe/Ireland, fight will be on at what 4 to 5am?
my age, that would be, going to bed at 10 with an alarm set

Last I remember reading a week or so ago is that Sky Sports won the PPV broadcasting rights for UK / Ireland and are only charging like 20 pounds / 25 euros. Think that's what it was for Mayweather vs Pacquiao also.
