So I finally got to paint somthing. 1st thing I've done in a solid 7+ yrs and oh boy am I rusty lol. I also tried doing glazing, which I've never done at all before. Figured what the hell.

Been in a rut as of late, made some terrain today.
Just some little stone mounds that my players can use for some height or as a LOS block. Made from egg crates, need to dress up the bases a bit but it's ok for game use.

I was in a bit of a funk also but changing up to this guy has re-invigorated me. I have very little experience with skin tones and I'm trying to push a bit outside my comfort zone. A tiny bit of NNM on the blade of his spear, the Vallejo metallics, skin tones.... lots of little things.

Good job man, what colors did you use on the blade? Weapons are where I've been drawing blanks because I don't really want to use the same colors on weapons as I do on armor.

I really like helmet more, aethstetically speaking. Both paint jobs look great. But I've always liked how menacing not seeing someone's face feels.

Squigs and a couple of gobbos are primed! I always go through this thing where I want to try something new, but don't want to fuck them up. But screw it, I can always just buy another set if I somehow FUBAR it. The plan is to try to use the airbrush more with these bros.

Go for it bro, it's just paint. Soak them in 90+% isopropyl alcohol and give them a few passes with a nylon brush and they're good as new.
Oh man squigs. I love squigs! Totally looking forward to how you do them with an airbrush dude. I actually just bought my 1st airbrush today myself.

Store had a painting event today and it was Owlbear day so here’s owlbear round two that I actually get to keep. Went harder on the dry brush so I wouldn’t lose as much to the varnish. Went with colored eyes this time to complement the little bit of blue I tried on the claws. Got to put on some tufts! I definitely want to try more shit with basing from here. Might grab some of the texture paint and smooth out a ride between the plastic base and the model base and add some more details there. Real happy again with how he came out.

Turned out great, nice work.
Try adding some cork to your bases too. It’s easy to do, fun making your own little rocks in whatever shape you want.

Yah she is very good! I thought that video was helpful for sure. I'm still getting the hang of things. The airbrush really does put on super buttery smooth layers.
I'm struggling with the second layers on top of it though. I think the inks I used are opaque and I was expecting more of a glaze. I'm getting there though! Here are the 2 dudes I'm working on. They still need touch ups and highlight but I did go ahead and base them. That rock the Squig is perched on is a cork rock I made.

His eyes came out so good! Very impressive!
I dig the purple too. I need to do a purple squig.
