I haven’t painted in two months. I started working from home and my hobby desk has been my work desk. I haven’t been able to get motivated to do anything there after sitting there 8-10 hours a day. Started going back to work off and on the past week and this just arrived in the mail. I’m feeling the urge to paint, the models are fuckin awesome. Cleaned and drying now, hopefully get some time to prime them this week and maybe start something.

Finished up my converted Huron Blackheart. Original vs mine lol. I also converted the little dude so still working on thAt.

Much more interesting and visually appealing to me. The GW model (I think) has far too much going on with the sculpt and its a bit noisy. I like the more realistic and simplistic aesthetic you've gone for. The pops of yellow/orange on the lightning claws and power axe are a cool departure from the typical blue as well, given that he's Chaos and a little different. Did you use a Terminator body and add different spaulders?

He's based on the new Abbadon, I had an extra one lying around. Here they are side by side.

So I haven’t painted in two months. I’m lucky enough I can work from home but my new work desk is my hobby desk and after sitting there for 8-10 hours I don’t want to sit there and paint.

The Edge: Dawnfall expansion Kickstarter stuff showed up a few days ago, and I’ve been slowly going back in to work so I got motivated enough to do some priming tonight. Was fun just doing the priming :p hope the motivation sticks around, I love the new models.

Haha I'm in the same phase... build and prime!
I did do a quick Blood Angel and base him. I started a Death Guard, and primed a bunch of other Death Guard plus 5 Space Marine Hellblasters.
Next up is an Imperial Fist. I'm excited to try them.

Changing it up a bit with a CIRI bust from CDPR. That is a 40mm base on the bottom for scale.

As for the citadel pots. I just put in some airbrush flow improver then just slowly poured them into dropper bottles. Added a few drops at the end then remixed to get the last bit out.

50 dropper bottles, 100 stainless steel ball bearings and a bottle of Vallejo airbrush thinner came out to like $37. And I maybe used less then 15% of the bottle of thinner.

Yeah I need to rebottle, I just never set aside the time to do it. Wish they just started selling in droppers.

My Imperial Fist! I'm happy with this guy although I know he has a lot of room for improvement. In the pictures he looks brighter than he is in person.

Now I need to pick one thing to practice on each one I do. Blending, or edge highlighting or something. We'll see.

Looks good. You should practice something new right now on that model. Make those coils glow in the center with some lightened blue, and pure white. There’s a lot of examples on IG and it looks badass. Really makes the gun pop and look a lot more interesting.

Conspiracy theory time. I'm convinced they use pots cause it wastes more paint forcing people to buy more. So much paint gets lost inside the cap and drying on the rim.
