The mech was 55 and the tank was 85 so $140 for them. Direct from GW they would be real close to 200 with tax though.

Yah all plastic. I still havent opened them yet but I'm hoping it's not crazy to put together.

The redemptor isn't too bad to put together, has some moving parts you don't want to glue to watch out for, cleaning mold lines etc from every single little anti-grav pad or whatever they are on the repulsor is tedious as hell.

Haha I am the worst at mold lines. Worst. And I've gotten better at it, but still havent closed the gap to the second worst guy.

Just make it your very first step. Clip a part off, inspect it for mold lines, put it in your “wash these off” pile and move to the next part.

It took me a few times of being pissed off I didn’t do that step for me to become better and more methodical at it. I find I still miss some if I’m doing distracted painting and not focused.

Good post on something I’ve never seen fully explained before. I figured they were getting excess paint off and didn’t want to fully pull their brush to the wipe off towel.

WizKids came out with a paint night set with a Manticore figure and paints/brushes and a pot and palette all together so my LGS hosted a paint session on Twitch since we still can’t do them in store.
Not my cleanest work and I wasn’t too big on the mini anyway. Fucked up at the very end and was gluing him to the base and the varnish wasn’t quite dry, so there was a nice layer of paper towel on the ground where I was pressing down for the glue. Finger took off a lot of paint from his back leg but was at least able to cover most of the fuck ups with some tufts. Hadn’t painted in a while so it was a nice little afternoon getting it done.
