This is just a base coat but I am getting better at faces. Not great, but definitely better. I think once I spend a bit more time on this guy he'll look pretty good. Even at this point he looks solid from tabletop distance. The GW sculpts do help a lot.

Faces are always tough. Some deep ink washes will help a lot too in creating contrast in the armor.

I have so much WIP it's more like what's on your table, ikea shelves, file cabinet, bookshelf, floor, display shelf, and in drawers.

Took a break from the tank build to try the gunpla stuff. More like lego than scale model building but was fun. The Gundam I got isnt the most popular but it was what I could find in stock.

Just assembled right now and still got a big ass backpack with guns to build. Will see if I paint it at all. Maybe later if so.

Got my A-Wing squads painted up today. Wish I could get the lines a bit cleaner but it looks pretty good at a distance. Got to use the new brushes I got for my birthday, too. Hopefully won’t ruin all these like I already did to my starter brushes

Also commissioned another ship from the local guy that did our Profundity and Interdictor for the husband for Christmas. Guy just happened to have a Gladiator around and I couldn’t find any that weren’t marked up to crazy prices. Turned out really nice. I’m tempted to look at trying to get into the lighting hobby, too, at some point.

Built my second MG Gunpla (Kyrios) during Xmas. It was a newly released kit and of much higher quality. It also has waterslide markers I can buy and apply once its painted.

Disassembled the left arm and will sand the pieces and start the process tomorrow once I get some new primer to arrive. This will take a while for sure. Figured it would be easier to divide it into 5 painting sessions instead of trying to do it all at once.

Wait till you see what I finally get around to doing. This would be beyond expectations on the high end for me.

One arm done. Gun metal onnthe frame and weapon. Also tried to make the orange more fun so did silver titan with a clear orange on top, took many coats to make it orange instead of yellow.

Also the 0.2mm needle is not good for these metallic paints, clogs up and is a pain in the ass to clean due the tiny hole. Hopefully get my 0.4 needle on Monday.

Have you tried any turbodork metallics? They have a lot of options and colors that would be perfect for gunpla.

Sadly don't think its available here. Can only find tamiya, vallejo and ammo pretty much. Ammo have quite good metallics that sprays better. The tamiya titan was really lumpy and required lots of stirring.

Going slow with the Gunplas, due to having to take it apart and then waiting for curing before I can put it together. This kit wasnt the easiest either. It's new and clicks together really hard so can be a bit of a challenge to take apart again.

Anyone got some good weathering/chipping guide? I try to find on youtube but they arent the best of quality all the time.
