Damn nice! That's a great paint rack and lots of storage. Perfect. Even a kettlebell to smash the mini's you don't like.

Newbie question, what is that mat called? I see so many people with one. Is it just something easy to clean up paint on?

Just a cutting mat. Just so I can protect the desk. And with them cheap is fine compared to pricy. I got that off amazon for maybe 22 bucks

Haven’t had much time for painting the past month, so 3D printed some Gloomhaven terrain. Here’s pics of crates and barrels in various states through the process.

Nice man, what printer do you use? I'm considering a resin Elegoo Mars soon.

3D printers are essentially magic to me. It's friggin amazing technology. If I had that as a kid, our Warhammer gaming tables would have been so much cooler.

Same, I’ve printed 50 things on mine and it still blows me away I have something that can do this in my hobby room. I love it.

Ender 3. Ive been watching printers since they first came out and once they got under $500 I’ve really been eyeing them. This one I got on Woot for $160, it was a no brainer for me, I didn’t even hesitate to click buy. I’m glad I did, it’s fun and printing terrain and painting it feels rewarding, those pieces are only like 5 cents in plastic. All the people at work request stuff now. I made little dogs for the dog people at work, depending on what breed they have. Made toys for my kid, office decorations for the wife. Good stuff.

My 4yo son saw my 3D printed Gloomhaven stuff and asked for a bigger spike trap to keep neighbor kids out of his closet lol

Haha nice, that's good parenting right there lol. My 7 year old wanted a unicorn, so I printed one up for her. She also asked for baby Groot. He's almost done!:

Dash the baby groot is looking great. The quality is really nice too.

And Phanton that dragon looks really good too. Very pronounced soft underbelly.
Only thing it's missing to me is that right front leg really looks like it wants to be holding like an animal it just caught.

Been a while since I've gotten the chance to paint. Husband just started a D&D club at his school for the kids with one of the other teachers, so wanted to get a mini for his character. Was a bit out of the small amount of practice I'd had, but think it turned out okay. Didn't get too much into the highlighting since I stopped when he said he was happy with it, then sealed it. A bit shiny, since our store's been out of matte varnish for a long time, so I'll probably go over some areas with another small coat when it comes in. First time using a varnish (used GW's Ardcoat) and wasn't sure how much to use, so tried to keep it light and watered it down a tiny bit.

Most of the tabletop crafting guys use spray minwax to varnish everything, may be a option for you. Definitely cheaper than Vallejo or GW stuff.

Nice! Good to see people getting back into it and that's a cool incentive.

Also reminds me I have Ardcoat and have not used it yet. Maybe soon.

Synylrez and an airbrush are an awesome combo for priming. I love it. I got the first Ironbreaker primed and base coated
