Thought you meant start to a season.

And -shrug- just 1 game. Aint no thang.
Agreed. Sometimes you catch a team at a bad time (for you). Surprised Wash left Yu in there for 130 pitches. Granted, the bullpen has been shaky and with Detroit's bats I'd be wary even with the lead they had.

Verlander threw a stinker last night. A fair chunk of those balls that got hit were balls that just got floated over the plate. Not sure where his control was, but even Soto can hit a home run off a ball that's floated. I'd still take verlander on my team in a heartbeat. Baseball is a grind, and theres going to be days where a pitcher doesnt have control like this, or even if he does, the hitters just have his number and wreck him.

Even the astros have embarrassed some good pitchers this year.

Where was this ever a debate to begin with? Why would anyone think because of one game that you wouldn't take one of the best pitchers in the league? Saying that is like saying "Today I decided I'd breath!" Of course you're going to breath and of course you'd take him on your team in a heartbeat.

His last 4 games he gave up combined 4 runs, last night he had a bad game. They happen.

Just wanted to make sure nobody thought I was hating on him. People here tend to overreact.

In this thread that only happens if you're talking about the Rangers.

Otherwise that's pretty much an NBA/NFL thread thing.

Players would riot if you got rid of Wash. There's more to managing than being a tactical genius.

Pirates only need to finish 55-63 over their last 118 to have a .500 record! Just thought you all might like to know.

edit: Had to fix my math, because I can't math.

So Texas lose Josh Hamilton, Mike Napoli, Mike Adams and a few other pieces over the offseason. Everyone expected the Angels to dominate the West and for the As to be running second and the Rangers to be in third

The Rangers have the best record in baseball right now and you want to run the manager out of the town?

Over emotional blow hard that has as very little sense, also bitches more than women about the most mundane things when it comes to Rangers baseball.

Do you really want them to have a winning record deep down? I mean maybe they could make it like 50 seasons in a row or something. Or long enough for people born during the streak to get their AARP cards.
