If you use a ranger and maneuver him to the rocks then flinch shot you can get him out of the shell in like 4 mins. I finish the fight in like 15 usually.

I am nearly ready to take a bit of a hiatus until the next update. I have a hammer build, lbg build, and hbg build. Only hammer and hbg are fully auged but whatever.
Grinding Lands is pissing me off a bit. But I have all the upgraded mantles and shit now too so... yeah.

I blame these guysI can't play this game after a shitty day at work, everything was annoying. Then Tigrex fight I was SnS, had long sword, lance, and charge blade. I didn't get a single perfect rush off due to all the flinching... I hate you guys!

Up to Tigrex now, seems pretty tame on first attempt even though I got carted. He throws rocks and jumps around a lot? I can see why ranged might be easier to farm with in this game with the move sets and monster sizes. I feel most of the times I get carted are just because I couldn't see what the monster was doing with where I ended up and I rolled or ran the wrong way and that's because after combos there's times I end up under the monster and it's clipped out of the screen. Whereas with LBG, HBG and Bow you never really have that issue right?

Depends, monsters like to spam charges and shit if you're at range and you need to dodge a bunch too and sometimes it's easier to dodge when you're close(dodging into the monster/behind it) versus having to dodge from mid distance. Also HBG doesn't really dodge stuff, they more like slow motion matrix jump(but the monster isn't in slow motion), that's why getting guard 5 and block on HBG is actually better for comfy set because dodging out of the way of shit with the slow dodge is fucking horrible.
Anyway ranged isn't really easier on everything, at least no necessarily, just some monsters are easier(anything that flies or is extra big for example).
On a separate note, that MR125 quest is pretty fun. Was short a bit of DPS to kill the first monster before the other got there and it go pretty crazy. Luckily wasn't that short so eventually killed it but I was scared the tail was gonna disapear before I could carve it.

Yeah I hate Jho, even on Lance he's annoying as fuck cause he grabs you through Guard Up so he constantly fucks you up and his hit zones are really high while he wiggles around like a fucking asshole constantly. And then he randomly decides to do fucking crazy jumping shit, vomit some dragon shit and oh that's another grab great.
Scarred Yian Garuga was pretty tough too, he's fast as fuck and damn does he do big damage on some moves. His tail spin is pretty much even more bullshit than Gold Rathian, because while the poison is weak, I literally lose 75% of my health on impact with fully augmented armor and health boost 2(not 3 cause geology but still). Luckily once the tail is off it's ok but fuck he's some asshole. Or and you randomly get bounces if you hit the wrong part of the body, which is a sure way to fucking die. Need to kill it a few more times to get some augment shit and then I'll probably drop the forest back down and not fight him again for a while/ever.

Jho is probably my least favorite monster for the above reasons. Even with cheap ass Spread HBG with Guard Up/Guard 5 he's a total asshole. Like Pyros says the main bullshit is that he does a defense down/flinch on you before he grabs you... every time. So your guard build is just useless. Or you get defense downed into a stupid ass jump which carts you from full health w/health boost 3 and augged armor.
That said, I do find it frustrating to get one shot because I decided to reload at the wrong time.

As a side note Kushala is still a big flying fuck so I made a HBG Sticky build to kill him a few times now that my forest is leveled, ironically I just upgraded the Zorah cluster HBG I had made in vanilla specifically to farm him(before Jho was added since his HBG was just all around better), and now I'm killing his stupid flying face with that same weapon, some things don't change much. He's really easy with sticky, keeps falling down then I lay down some fucking cluster all over his body and wyvern in his stupid face and he dies quiuckly and painlessly(mostly he sometimes still one shots me). I don't even have good gear, just made a Zorah 3 set with crappy Brachydios legs and Artian gloves for free elem, there's better gear but I'd need to farm Kirin or whatever and use large elder dragon gems and it's just not necessary for just Kushala.

Because Sony has the OS set to copy the ENTIRE GAME for any patch of any size... even if it's just a few megs, it still makes a copy of the entire game. This may have made sense when the bigger games were 35-50 gigs. Now that they are much bigger... ugh yeah it's awful
With that said... I finally "beat" the vanilla game this morning using their bullshit overpowered armor set and weapons that cost an iron chunk to make... Nothing even made me sweat at all and I blazed through all 4 elders and the final uber guy. I hate it and feel dirty but there is literally no reason to even make gear as the rarity 8 shit that has 74 armor is dwarfed by the 114 armor Jagrass set in MR.

I'm glad it's not just me that has a really hard time on Jho. I've yet to find a weapon I like fighting him with. Lance feels too immovable so you can't get out of the dragon shit and the grabs, HBG same and Hammer feels super squishy due to the fact that you need to be jumping on its head in order to knock it out or deal decent damage.
