You'll be your own raid force here, world bosses are really 2-3 group encounters at best and are level locked. If you have a team at every level for locked encounters a person that had been boxing for years would have 0 issue boxing here.

Classes are easier IMO than EQ, they are less complex, more "rewarding".

You roll a Inq, Bard / Chanter, Cleric, Shaman, Archer (I think this is still silly OP?) and flex with another melee or DPS and you would be able to handle likely every camp in the game atm. Some mroe "Challenging" than others due to the same issues EQ has with pathing and what not.

If it's super simple and I'd just steamroll everything I'd probably get bored. Original EQ was still difficult enough for a full group if you were being ambitious. Maybe they'll add that kind of content to MnM.

Yeah you'd be fine, most camps are simple here and are only made complex if you choose to make them complex.

Sure you can go wild and pull like ALL the mobs in the surrounding area AND the named camp but like, 5 to 8 mobs is a normal spawn size.

Add in the fact that there are some super unique conditions for things and I'd say multi-boxing is nearly conditionally required.

Wait, what do you mean by conditionally required?

There are very specific spawn conditions for some things in the game and unless you know all of them, you may be standing out in a field staring at a point in the dirt for hours or days. Having your own box crew for those instances would be more than helpful.

On the public test server I briefly talked to a 6 boxer and watched him run a camp for 30 min or so. He was using pet classes to make it easier to tab box them. I think he started with 4 box of SK/Shm/Mag/Nec, then added Dru/Nec. It must work fairly well, as he was one of the highest PC(s) on the server.

no, not yet , and they dont want to ever have a logfile , i think its silly , but there it is, they are just gona make it harder for people , life will find a way

As someone who developed mods / addons for eq, wow and other games, the less information and functional customizability the better.

So how close is this game to finished? A year out? 2years? 10?

At the pace of content released over the last 12 months I'd estimate 2 years minimum from full release, unless Early Access is uber successful and they bring in enormous funding to hire staff.

I think something would have to go pretty wrong for it to be more than 3.

As someone who developed mods / addons for eq, wow and other games, the less information and functional customizability the better.
I just wana be able to like , DW a couple swords , then switch to a 2 hander and be able to actually tell witch one is better, maybe add a in game solution like a target dummy that it attack-able for 3 min and at the end tell you how much you did, could even have it themed like a training ground and have some knight or guard watching you and evaluating you at the end

There’s been a ton of claims in this thread on how successful or unsuccessful this game will be I’m just curious if we will ever have an actual answer

I already know poopsockquest isn’t for me in 2026 don’t need the internet to tell me that
