Yeah, doing it 5-man for the quest was very hard. The hyper fast roamer respawn and the care you needed to pull some of those rooms was always at odds. The zone respawn was also quite short so after a few rooms a wipe was usually a full reset iirc. And MC gear wasn't really a thing yet.

Just the thought above about CC in early WoW being a thing, those Scholo runs very much stood out to me. I want to say we wiped twice to Krastinov over the course of a few days beating our heads against the content until we were able to complete. Took forever to get down there and it was always a brutal full reset that left us checking notes. Also weren't a lot of detailed spoiler sites, so a lot of trial and error.

Honestly some of the most fun I've ever had gaming. I quit WoW maybe a month later because I was risking failing out of college, but worth it imo.

Stress test this Friday.

Monsters & Memories Stress Test (February 13th, 2026)
We will be holding a Stress Test starting on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 1pm Eastern (<t:1771005600:F> local time).
The stress portion will be on a new server for an hour to two hours before unlocking all servers for at least 8 hours. More details to follow.

Details
The servers that will be available are Relle (PvE), Krivea (PvE), Haradrel (PvP), and Sorophal (PvE Fresh Start)
The stress test portion will occur on Eltindra (Stress Test Server) which will be located in Eastern North America.
We will have Customer Service on hand to help with in-game issues. Please use the /petition system if you need CSR assistance.

Anyone wanna take a crack at Bone Construct tomorrow on Relle? I’m gonna be on, 19 wizard. May have my brother depending on his workload, 18 cleric. May also have a 20 monk as well.

Figured they would. Man Spellblade gets weaker every time they open these and I play mine again. Very rough.

I can’t imagine anyone being willing to play a proc based melee class unless it was S-tier DPS. Too random to be fun.

They should make the shadow step ability 0 mana on a 5 second cooldown and give it gate. Some wizard teleport flavour might actually make it compelling without making it OP.

Shadow step aggros mobs now. Utility deleted. :(

I bug reported it. Shrug, could be an oversight. They rejiggered the class pretty hard recently. People asking for it to do dps too. Lotta foot shooters out there with bad ideas.

I'll pray for you and all future Spellblades

It was pretty sweet like 3-4 changes ago. But it was too OP at max level, so now the leveling experience is just pants.

They will have enough zones and exploration content for release in June easily, but nick and Ali have me worried on their ability to fine tune class power and mob power. There’s been massive swings and some deaf ears on major issues, and bugs that aren’t getting fixed. I’m not sure we’re in a better state with classes now than we were 6 months ago.

Balance is somewhat overrated. But yea, the issues of classes at max level are getting hit with a nerf bats that affects the entire leveling experience in a way that has an outsized negative experience on the lower levels. I fully expect shit to yoyo around till closer to 1.0 ie significantly past ea. There's a decent chunk of people on the fresh start server for this weekend, so I hope they're pulling all kind of metrics from that. But the current alpha/usual open server data is probably pretty hard to pull good data from since it's been up so long, has all kinds of items that don't drop anymore and those that grinded it out are just chilling at 60 or twinking the jesus out of new chars.

Upcoming beta should reset the baseline for newbs and let them get more reasonable data.
