Hopefully that moves bard past a buff/debuff bot, but as good as the songs sound - I still feel like theyll end up in that spot / boxxed.

The enchanter doesn't sound like a lot changed. They just neutered charm a good bit, base pet still weak af, and merged spells. Was there something new brought to the table for them? Cause I dont see anything but nerfs to their current tool kit.
How are their base pets weak af? Did they change them? My enchanters pet a few months ago was damn near as strong as my necro pet.

well that was fun while it lasted LOL..

Logged in, ran for an hour back to NH, found out that bard levitate caused you to be able to run up any surface and build momentum.

Answered the questions:
"Whats at the top of the floating place in Vale" nothing

"Whats at the top of the dark tower in GF" nothing

"Whats at the top of the waterfall in Shallow shoals" nothing

Also found out that yes, you CAN get stuck in ceilings.

Something absolutely needed to be done about charm. My brother and I were able to duo virtually everything we wanted throughout the game with a Druid enchanter combo. While we were exploring and leveling up, our static six would find a new spot and camp some new named. We’d come back and duo the same content we were doing as a six man. We had to be slower and more methodical but we could do it, especially if there was a beast present that could be charmed by the Druid. Orcs have wolves at all their camps, for instance.

We did some very basic testing last night. Enchanter charmed a level 52 spider and fought it straight up against the same 52 spider. We used ravenous creepers in Glass Flats because they always spawn at level 52. The first test was with no buffs or debuffs. The npc spider killed the charmed pet with roughly 60% of its health left. The second test we buffed the spider with enchanter buffs and debuffed the target with slow and stat debuff. This fight ended with the charmed pet winning at about 60% health. The enchanter-charmed spider hit for 54 max unbuffed, 66 buffed. This is down from max hitting for 149 months ago, down from 219 from the previous build.

I charmed the same spider on my Druid and the spider only hit for 20 damage, it got absolutely slaughtered by an equal spider. They mentioned that since Druid was not a primary pet class, the charmed pets would not do as much damage. This makes sense. With the current implementation, however, I’m not sure the juice is worth the squeeze to maintain a charmed pet on Druid. To get the charisma necessary to keep a charmed pet reliably on Druid you’ve got to sacrifice quite a bit of wisdom for charisma. The mana pool and damage/healing reduction from lack of wisdom is really noticeable in a charisma set.

The two major issues before the patch with charm were that charmed pets were significantly stronger than player characters and that players could “swarm” or reverse charm for exp. The charm changes in this patch address the first issue, but seem to reinforce the second. I can’t see a use-case for Druid charm outside of reverse charming for exp now. I’m not complaining, I think charm was incredibly overpowered and something needed to be done about it. Maybe the devs like reverse charming for exp and intend to keep that as a viable strategy. We’ll see.

Sand storm

…. SAND STORM

Also… these zones are just too darn big.

Sitting in NH “wanna tank in VoZ?”

No American Inventor it will take me half my playtime to get there.

I like that duoing content is seen as a "bad thing." Six man or nothing. Fucking masochists.

I pointed out the sand storm thing well over a year ago in this thread. And also the ridiculousness of these giant empty zones.

The game doesn't respect your time.

Lord Ga'Duuz is in Glass Flats and is only attackable during a Sandstorm. Theyre tinkering with his spawn rate, which is directly affecting how often Sandstorms are. When the sandstorm goes away, he despawns, and another sandstorm happens shortly thereafter to give another chance to go after him (as its currently implemented, until he dies). If I had to guess, theyre letting shit go wild until the servers go down on the 24th. Not exactly how I would have tested it, but its not like theyre not going to change it some more later on when 60's are knocking on his door towards mid-late October again.

I personally, as a Dev, would have opened the flood gates to these bosses weeks ago back when they were re-released back onto the server. Test it, abuse the shit out of the spawn location, catch every bug you can. Dont let this shit hit EA with bugs - when the drops will revert back to extreme, multi-hour, camps.

But I still agree that they need to fucking chill on the vision shit. Adjusting gamma in game and on my monitors just to play this game, and then having to revert the monitors back to play other games is ridiculous. I truly feel sorry for people trying to play this game on old ass monitors and half ass TV's. They'll never get the kind of backlit shit to the point where a Human can see 5 feet in front of them at night.

On that note, I'm also pretty annoyed at the limited options of Human and Dark Elf for Inquisitor. I wish there were more options, but I get the vibe that theyre going after some type of theme like the Children of the Light from Wheel of Time (White Cloaks, w/e). Which makes sense from a perspective of race choice. Magical Fae creatures can go fk themselves, basically.

As far as grouping in VOZ - I said it before and Ill say it again; the zone needs a Wizard and Druid Port. I think its quicker to take the boat, hop off, zone into VOZ, and walk over the hill to Orcs. But its still a good haul.

Nothing is as obnoxious as great cavern sea. With bard move speed I spent all day in there yesterday and still haven’t finished exploring. I’d bet money they will never ever finish populating that zone.

edit - the spider caves there are probably my most stressful experience ever in a video game, which was kind of cool as I think that was their goal lol. Good luck ever finding your way around there or mapping it

Honestly that is really true.

The “problem” I have with MnM in 2026 isn’t that it respects my time any less than EQ did in 2001 it is that I respect my own time more than I did back then
Yup. And they plan to charge a monthly sub to beta test. Some people are masochists, and this is made for them. It's going to have Pantheon level active players pretty quickly.

Bard is feeling solid and they fixed my issues with Mez functionality. Rocking Bard on EA, wish I could rock Deep Gnome bard, oh well.
