It's amazing how they are tricking collectors and speculators into buying shark jumping lazy art. Tracing cosplayers and stock photos of birds must really reduce the costs on artists.

It's exactly the same thing as in comics with all the variant covers.

Nerd hobby stagnates and stops bringing in kids, the customer base shrinks and grows older, so you sell more product and premium product to the remaining customers who now have proper jobs and can afford to spend more. Meanwhile PC attempts to grab a diverse, queer and/or female audience fail and drive more of the core audience away.

It's funny you mention that, because this shit is what made me quit comics in the 90s (along with sooooo many other people). And though I'm long out of that game, I'm pretty sure it never recovered to where it was before then.

Why? They don't even look that good. It's like rejected art from previous sets.

You are being exploited.

Only alt art I've seen and liked are the stained glass plainswalkers from War of the Spark and the Amano Liliana from the Japanese alt art.

If they sold whole sets in a different art style maybe it would be worth while.

Purchase limit has been lifted (at least somewhat).

Double Masters boxes at $270 if you buy at least 4. Still in stock.

I'm skipping this shit, but enjoy.

More Bans on Monday. I hope they do something about Companions - Though I have no idea WHAT they could do, considering they are the 'flagship' of the expansion.

In a "when worlds collide" moment, was watching a Tim Pool vid in the last day or so, and he mentioned offhand they don't play MTG anymore because it's so broken currently.
