I liked Mo Williams a lot during the first Lebron era. He was a great shooter during the regular season but he completely disappeared during playoffs when defense is more important. Ultimately I think he's a solid addition for the price. We won't be asking nearly as much from him this time around and he'll help our bench quite a bit.

He was the 2nd best player on that finals team for sure. In his prime, he's the perfect PG to put next to LeBron because he doesn't need the ball in his hands. He was serviceable this last season in Minnesota. I wouldn't expect a ton out of him but he can still shoot the ball.

Report: DeAndre Jordan was tired of Chris Paul not giving him high-fives | ProBasketballTalk

DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul's rift, though denied by Doc Rivers and Dahntay Jones, has been reported, re-reported and re-re-reported.

Considering Jordan sacrificed money to join what I think will be Mavericks team worse than the Clippers would have been with him, it seems there's something to the rift rumors.

Why don't Jordan and Paul get along?

One report said Paul didn't respect Jordan's free-throw practice habits. Here's another reason.

Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN:

He was tired of Paul's constant barking and petty gestures, like distributing high-fives to the three other guys on the floor following a timeout but somehow freezing out Jordan.

Paul is a great player, the best point guard of his generation.

But, sometimes, he just hurts his own cause.

His flopping and near-constant whining to referees is off-putting. Each time, he acts genuinely shocked and hurt the officials don't agree with his point of view.

Likewise, it seemed Paul couldn't accept Jordan had a different outlook than him on life and basketball. To be sure, some of that is merely Paul's perception. Jordan would not have come so far after being a second-round pick if he didn't have a strong work ethic and focus. It might not have matched Paul's all-time great drive, but that's an unfair standard. Paul should have done a better job making Jordan feel welcome.

Now Paul and the remaining Clippers will suffer the consequences - trying to get back on track without a good answer for a replacement center.

The sad thing is that if the Clippers weren't in absolute luxury tax hell they could have probably replaced a lot of what Deandre gives them. He's a good player for sure though.

As is, they have to start Ekpe Udoh at center or probably more likely really embrace small ball (Griffin at 5, Pierce at 4).

By this point everyone knows that we are going to end up overpaying for Tristan Thompson so I wish they'd just get it over with and sign him already. He's supposed to be the last signing that's holding up Lebron so just get it over with already.

Dan Gilbert draws a line in the sand and LeBron takes the minimum to play in San Antonio for a year.

Best thing the Warriors got was salary savings. This should save around $18 mil in luxury taxes.

I think he's one of their better pickups, tbh. He's a solid vet, still has something left in the tank, has some positive history with Lebron including standing up to him or at least standing his ground which I think Lebron is realizing isn't always easy to find but is important. Especially for the intangibles he's going to be a great addition.

None of this makes any sense. Chris Paul has great stats.

Defend Kobe for running teammates out of town. Hate CP3 for not liking DJ's work ethic.

Blake Griffin and DJ too. But he got rid of one of those so it's all good. It takes more then stats to make an all time great, just like it takes more then championships. Paul seems to be lacking the championship and being a decent teammate categories. By decent I don't mean nice. Just someone who doesn't chase off other players, forces coach firings, and get a team to trade them for so little the league stepped in because the team that drafted you just wanted your arse gone.
