What the fuck do you think their salary cap situation has been like the last few years? They've been over for a couple years and they are the 3rd highest salary this year.

Good catch. They were $15 million over the luxury tax this year. Sometimes the narrative sticks around even when the facts stop being true; it appears I was out of touch on this one.

It makes the Harden trade look even more retarded, since that was done because of cap reasons.

Poor talent evaluation isn't retarded. Harden evolving into a top five player (top three on offense) and developing an alpha personality to potentially be Batman to KD's Robin couldn't have been predicted. Teams whiff on talent evaluation all the time. When one guy is producing as your starter, looking like a future MVP, and is the alpha dog every team needs and the other guy is a Sixth Man of the Year candidate and they're the same age...

OKC had a hard decision to make on how to balance the egos of professional athletes and upcoming contracts where ownership forced management to pick. Sometimes you pick right, but, like Tom Brady being passed over 198 times, more often in sports you pick wrong.

I mean the NBA s a bit more forgiving than the NFL when it comes to talent evaluation, but look at how bold the Celtics were to trade the number 1 pick.

Fultz was considered the number 1 guy, with Ball the consensus 2, and Tatum locked in at 3. 4 through 7 was a toss up between Josh Jackson, Donovan Mitchell, and a couple other guys but why would Ainge pass on Fultz? Come to find out it was the right move, although Fultz has greatly improved his standing recently.

Ball was the most disappointing highly touted prospect, yet he did average like 12 7 and 7 or something.

People Cutler'ed yamikazo yamikazo but he's right. Westbrook will keep OKC as a wild card for another two or three years. He could carry a team to the conference finals or not even make playoffs. That's his style. A team like OKC will take that every year.

No he got Cutlered for saying OKC doesn't care about championships when they clearly do based upon their spending. Their mistake was hitching their wagon to Westbrook and not the other better talent that had been there.

When was the last time an Eastern conference team eliminated a LeBron-led team?
Let's go Raptors!

Could you imagine if there was another player throwing an elbow into Lebron's face, like Lebron was just doing to VanFleet? He would have thrown himself on the ground and bitching and moaning. Unbelievable what he gets away with.

LOL, Raptors about to blow this game. They can't make a shot to save their lives.

Valincounis or whatever his name is was playing so well, and then missed 67 straight layups.

Raptors are a terrible crunch time team. But i did sense, these entire playoffs really, that the LeBron has 7 teamates and everyone else has 4. The refs just really suck his dick and give him virtually every call unless its a sloppy turnover after contact or a makeup call when he gets mauled. But between his goaltend against Oladipo, to the foul calls he influences, to the way the refs even put time back on the clock or review a play, its like they are doing everything they can to make sure this guy is being treated as the most prestigious player in league history.

There are mysteries in life, like some basketball players unable to hit a free throw yet able to land threes from waaaay beyond the line like it's nothing.

They use different shooting forms and one is considered decent if you make over 30% while the other is garbage if you make under 70%
