Cassel continued his downward spiral and played his worst game.

Kellen Moore came in and played really well. So it's looking like Dallas had their best non-Romo QB on the practice squad all along and Dallas fans can all thank Garrett's stubbornness for this waste of a season.

Also, people are saying Garrett made a mistake by cutting Weeden since he threw for 100 yards against the 29th ranked pass defense.

Keep in mind we are talking about Dallas here, Cassel had a QBR of .1 and a rating of 13. Even for Cassel, that is an over achievement in the fail department.

For someone who's never played an NFL snap before and only got very limited 1st team work in practice going against the 5th ranked defense, he did play very well.

He needs to recognize the safety better as that's where both meaningful picks came from, but he still put them in a position to win. If Beasley doesn't drop 2 balls on that last drive they settled for a FG on or if Byron Jones doesn't forget he's playing football and let the WR run right by him, Cowboys probably win.

Those are eerily similar to Romo's first action.

He's a slightly shorter Romo and has the benefit of being in Linehan's/Garrett's system for a bit. He will never actually BE Romo, not unless he has two more years to spare, but we'll get two more games to see if he can at least be less of a Wheedon or Cassell.

Cassel nearly falling with nobody within 5 yards of him, followed him him throwing a pass so bad it was intercepted AND flagged for intentional grounding.

Kellen Moore could have spiked the ball into the ground every single pass play and I'd be feeling more hopeful with him in there
