Also that terribly QB Wilson set an NFL record.
at the risk of becoming this thread's rw fanboi, he threw three or more touchdowns with no ints in 5 consecutive games. for the first time in nfl history. in his fourth year.

pretty sure other qbs in history have had runs of playing five poor teams in a row.

We are calling playoff teams terrible now? Also I am sure other people have played bad teams before but they couldn't do what Wilson did.

Russell Wilson is playing amazing the last quarter+ of the season, but the 5 games 3 TD no INT is one of those stat lines that are so "specific" it doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of "records". While his play has been amazing, the only stat that makes this unique is 0 interceptions. Tom Brady had 3+ touchdowns for 10 consecutive games, 2+ touchdowns and 0 interceptions has been done 8 times over 5 games, the record being 9.

Wilson's played his best football the last few games and he'll silence a lot of critics if he can maintain it. That being said, there are too many conditions attached for that to be a really meaningful record.

Yeah it's a pretty useless record but I like to rub it in every time some board tard says he can't throw or he sucks.

Not trying to denigrate Wilson because he is an awesome QB but Tannehill just got a record for most completions in a row in history. The game is NOT the same as before as has been said many, many times. We are in a time when penalties are given for hitting a QB too hard no matter where he is hit. Where athletic abilities are greater and no one wants the meal tickets hurt. Where the rules allow receivers to run rampant all over the field while men the size of 60s/70s OL are catching passes from QBs.

Just because Wilson is great right now, doesn't mean we should compare him past his immediate competitors. And, when we do that, you have to compare the defense, RB, OL, passes he attempts, etc to have the whole picture. Guy needs to do it for longer. Much longer than 5 games.

Yeah the two Superbowl's definitely shouldn't count or the 3 consecutive years of playoffs. I mean there are only 4 active QB's with as much success as he has had. Guy is trash. Should be run out of the league.
