This. Whoever suggested that the Jags D might be a paper tiger was probably right. They buckled in crunch time. While the refs hurt them a little, it was not more than any actual elite D could overcome. When it came down to it, a top tier D should be able to hold a Gronk-less Pats in those situations. The Jags D is ultimately what cost them a trip to the SB, aided a great deal by the Jags OC clenching his asshole shut the entire second half. I sat through that shit in Seattle in 2015 and could feel it coming a mile away. Jags OC blinked and their D folded.

This Patriots run with Brady and Belichick is the greatest dynasty in sports history. Sure other teams may have more championships total but in an age where you cannot buy championships they are dominante unlike any other team in sports.

Straight up think Eagles would have no chance against the Pats in the Super Bowl. Unless their front 7 pulled off a Giants pass rush type game, Brady will kill their secondary. Sadly I'd actually have to root for the Patriots if they play the Eagles. But really it's all about the Vikings now for my rooting interest.

Agreed. Pending the SB of course for potential 6th, but many who point to Celtics back in the day, it just doesn't compare to what the rest of the league goes through with parity and turnover for who is at the top, their run is the best ever.

Depends largely on how long they think Darth Bill will keep coaching. If he is looking for the door, go for the records you can get. Brady is largely irrelevant. Pretty sure they could lure a refurb QB wanting a ring and win as long as the cold efficiency of Bellicheck is calling the shots. The Jimmy G jerkfest will stop once other teams have film on him next year.

Nah dude, it's only because they play a shit division. All those other teams in the dynasty runnings had to face nothing but superbowl champion caliber teams every game and they had just as much success as the Patriots do playing against their high school football division!

Agreed. Not that Jacksonville stopped trying to throw the ball completely or take shots, just the consistent 1st down runs were very predictable and left them in bad spots constantly. Wanted to see some more roll outs, let Bortles be a dual threat. Even some first downs to change field position would have been huge. Hell they ran that flea flicker he turned into a nice completion in the 3rd quarter.
