I don't see Lightning beating a lot of cup contender teams in the playoffs this year.

Granted, I'm as biased as they come in this discussion...but is he wrong about how few penalties they take?

It's weird how narratives kind of ruin the NHL awards sometimes. "Goalies have their own trophy, so they shouldn't be in the Hart conversation" being the relevant one this time around.

The only argument I can see people making against it is number of starts. Price had 66 starts in his Hart season Igor probably finishes in the low 50s. Igor seeing about 20% more shots per game and putting up better numbers than price did, so I think he should get it if he keeps it up. His stat line is even crazier if you take out the two bad games against Calgary where he gave up 11 goals.

Holy shit this game is a dumpster fire. Ned pulled for Greiss pulled for Ned. Making the Yotes look like the Leafs.
Edit: They lost the audio feed and have the in studio guys trying to cover. It's an improvement.

Seider moves in from the left faceoff circle to the center and tosses it in to the far corner.

Leddy pinches in to collect the puck

I know you guys had a much worse night than we did, but how did Vrana look in general? Mantha could have had another goal or two on another night. I'm really surprised by how good he has looked right away after being out for so long. I guess it helps when it's an upper body injury and you can still skate/keep in shape for awhile ahead of being full go.

Most of the team played like garbage and he didn't really stand out either way other than picking up rebound and scoring. I had also checked out by the 3rd, having to get ready for work. I'll keep a closer eye on him during the next game.

Why does ESPN hate me? 3rd game in a row I'm stuck listening to Hextall.
Not a great 1st period so far. Ned continues to not be good. He swiped at dump in bouncing wide and directed it between his legs and in to the net.
