You could of scheduled this post back in November. Kinda crazy.
I wonder what the record is for most 100+ point playoff teams. I haven't looked at everyone's schedule, but it seems like at least every team in the east could get there.

Yeah, I mean I remember reading a stat that most years, the teams in playoff position either by Thanksgiving or turn of New Year are usually the ones at the end of the season...barring maybe one outlying team potentially getting in. East was definitely separated this year in a top 8 and the rest.

I know it was 7/8 teams a few seasons ago. Not sure how many times its been 8 of 8 though.

After doing a quick scroll through seasons on the NHL site, it seems the wild cards most years are between 96-99 points so they are never far off. I wouldn't be surprised to see that 8 100+ teams has happened a few times before.

Yea that one was weird. My only guess is they thought maybe his leg had backwards momentum. But I didn't agree with that call. Good win though.

There was some discussion on whether he had hit the puck first before he started pushing on the pad. Not sure if it's a situation where the ref has to blow the whistle for a frozen puck first or not. It didn't burn us in the end, but seems a weird precedent to possibly set.

I've got season tickets to the Adirondack Thunder, the worst team in the ECHL this year. 2nd periods were normally terrible for them, so I know that pain. They were 15-0-0 this season when leading after 2 though.
It still tickles my pickle that the Coyotes may have even less seating than us next year.

There was no good view of it, but Staal was pointing up at the netting like the puck hit it before we iced it. Why they waved it off initially after not seeing that, I have no fucking clue. The refs then had to bring a list of players who were in the ice at the time to the Wings bench since they started a change as soon as they saw it waved off.
Good Greiss came to play, which is always a treat. I wonder if they're going to start Hellberg against Florida.
