5 goals up in the Rocket race despite having played 5 games less than everyone else. Very Hart like material.
Round here we be Toronto ball busters man. Nah for real though AM is crazy good. Wouldn't think for a second he didn't deserve it.

The Ben Charot trade is really interesting too. I feel like Florida paid almost more of a premium for him despite his stats. I can understand the thinking though. They are going full bruiser full on hard play. Gonna be a really scary team in the playoffs that's for sure.

Well I was wrong, 3 and a shootout was enough. Kinda sucks that game ended in a shootout, but Ovechkin sending it home makes it worth it.

For cap masters like TB, 3 years at 1.5mm per year is the reason.

Yeah the cost control of $1.5M cap hit for 2 more years after this one and he's still only an RFA at that point is just massive.

Fucking Igor chants in TB. Don't think i've ever seen an away goalie get cheered like that. Alot of NY'ers in Florida obviously but still.

Vasy was great too. Pretty solid game all around. Can't believe they actually called a penalty that late but i'm glad they did.

Some of these trades are pretty nuts. Used to be a 2nd was the going price for decent pieces, and the big dividing line was whether a guy would bring back a 1st or not. Now these deals are generating a 1st plus more.

TB adding Nick Paul. That third line just got so beefed up.

Good lord.

Also really not liking some of the officiating in the 3rd period of our game v Dallas today. Waived off a goal with a questionable GI call, and a dangerous play with Benn taking down Carlson into the boards at end of the game completely uncalled.

I was watching that and that was pretty terrible for sure.

It is what it is, we had plenty of chances to get more and didn't convert. Dallas came to play first 40. Their PP goal in 2nd was really pretty passing play.

Tampa and out of state fans, name a more iconic duo.

Better team won. Enough said. Igor played out of his mind as usual, so did Vasy. In the end you can't take 6/7 penalties against the 1/2nd best PP in the league. Discipline needs to improve. Was really impressed with Tampa's first period play. Great defensive turnovers and transitions. Great entry from neutral zone. Kind of look shook by the 3rd period.

Seattle loading up on draft picks. If it's not bolted down, it's going. Down to 2 UFAs and 4 RFAs.

Having only 1 first rounder is a bummer but hopefully we get some luck in the lottery this year and land Wright.

Tampa’s scouting allows them to trade off first round picks. Historically they’ve hit on more late round talent than early round talent.

Vasy/Stamkos/Hedman were all 1st overall (maybe Hedman was 2nd? can't remember) and if I remember right the only first rounders drafted by them still on the active roster. Cal Foote maybe too now. I do agree they've been better off with later round talent or just trading firsts away for proven players.
