Still infuriating. They have a lot of talent, and they do great in the regular season, but playoffs is just a mental block for the team as a whole.

Hard to get to overtime if you simply decide not to get any shots on goal the whole game. Caps have zero urgency. Maybe I'm just getting frustrated watching this same act year after year but it doesn't seem like Laviolette was the answer

Not going to put it on Laviolette when a good bit of the team look like they're the walking wounded out there (Backstrom, Eller, Oshie, Carlson). But unless they do something quick this season will be over pretty fast.

Well we're pretty much fucked at this point. I'd love to know how hurt some guys are because nobody is really doing anything. Samsonov didn't look too bad even though they ended up scoring 4.

Honestly... the window is closed. This team doesn't have what it takes. Not sure if they should just ride it out for Ovie to have a shot at the record or blow it up now. We've given up too much young talent for guys that brought basically nothing in return and now we're old and slow. Sucks as I'm finally moving back to the DC area next week and was planning to get season tickets (probably still will, but I have little to no expectation of the team accomplishing anything until Ovie is gone).

Imagine being McDavid and comparing rosters? Yeah, that dude is as good as gone first chance he gets. Still plenty more hockey to play for both teams, but as far as Mathews v. McDavid goes they must be loving this up in Toronto.

Well thats it for the Blues, swept in 4. Basically everything failed for them. Weak defense, failed to score even 2 goals per game and Binnington was among the worst goalies in the playoffs so far.

Lol at this guy blaming Binnington. He was under fire all 4 games playing against the best team in the league. The blues had no puck control and couldn’t score. Missing 3 of their top defensemen and leading scorer is huge. Dumb ass take.
