For a moment I thought "that's a 5 slot card, wtf." How heavy is this thing?
The weight seems to be 1370g on the MSI. I dont think the other card manufacturers ship the bracket so it's probably not needed.

Doing build with MSI motherboard. The manual has a part number for the MSI sag bracket if your video card is heavy. Amazon has several GPU Support brackets.

Maybe my ancient Silverstone FT02 can tolerate it hanging, monted vertical?

So a few things i noticed - since im using the Core p3 for now with the Gen3 riser cable (not sure how to fit a Gen4 properly in this brackets place) - if i dont go into bios and turn off auto config the driver will not properly function - I've only loaded Remnant so far but at 4096/2160 its around 100fps or so - Im hoping w/ the 3090 i can consistently stay over 100.

Pretty sure the cost increase is due to the additional memory but yeah, not as much of a bump. Interested in 8k scores if they can test them since they touted it can run that.

9am - expecting 15-24% or so for double cost.
And the resale market will adjust the price for that. 3090s will resell for around $2000 while 3080s remain at $1300-$1500. So 40% more price for 20% more performance, not unreasonable for a high-end product. The invisible hand brings balance to the market.

You do realize that if those scalpers don't have their inventory sold and NVidia's supply actually manages to catch up demand, the scalpers will actually be losing money, right?

I'm in no rush for my 3080. I'll get it when I get it.

You understand scalpers have the option to return any product that they don't sell right? There is no realistic scenario where you lose money flipping these cards.

idt 2k for a 3090 would bother me much really - i expected to spend that much on the top end card anyways - im still way under my expectations for spending on the new pc.
