lol, I feel your pain. I'd like to get the TUF 3080 but the game I'm looking forward to the most looks like Minecraft, lmfao. I'm not sure if buying another 3080 for 10% more performance is worth it, lol.

Yeah, my main issue was the dips at 5120x1440 on the RX 6800. I'm not one to wait a year for a potential replacement that I probably won't get my hands on.

Xexx Xexx yeah, going to snag an EVGA if I see it at that price. Have 30 days to return this to Microcenter. I saw Mist Mist 's post too late.

Never heard of Red Devil, so with 1500+ bucks being spent, I rather stick with the brands I know.

Its power color, they make the liquid devil which is still the best AMD card albeit water cooled.

6900XT Red Devil is iirc the best air cooled.

6900XTs always in stock because they are slept on - However if you dont give a shit for RT or DLSS a 6900XT will always be a better buy in every way over a 3090 unless you get an FE at msrp.

30xx cards seem to be a lot easier to get, buddy said microcenter has tons in stock in store around him and resellers seem to have stopped buying the recent best buy drops. Gamestop has a prebuilt 3080 PC for $2k

i even have over $2k in gamestop trade credit so could buy this for essentially little money spent but i got nothing to play on my pc, prefer my ps5/xbox

Amazon had a EVGA RTX 3070 TI FTW3 ULTRA GAMING for $771 this morning, some models are dipping lower. Possibly because all of the Russian crypto is out of luck now.

Saw this brace. Cool idea if you have a 3D printer.

Are you planning on running 2 different loops? Second distro plate (or just res?) seems odd
? It has a front distro and a side res (FLT). When I did this build I wanted as much water as possible in the case so that the water itself never got too high a temp. So this was 2 rad 1 distro 1 res and water temp itself never went beyond 101F.

Gpu > cpu > top rad > res > distro

something like that but distro handles differently since I also had a rad at the bottom. In either case cpu never hit 55c and Gpu was even cooler.

That front distro holds a lot of water, you really don't need the res. Res is just slowing down water flow

Thats fine i didnt keep the flow rate very high to begin with - i wanted low noise and low temps while doing very milk OC on GPU and pushing 4k on the CX

LTT has a Tech Quickie dropping on new power supply spec (ATX 3.0) from Intel. So might be new power supplies coming down the pipe. The tech actually seems pretty neat

Well rumors are that the new Nvidia RTX40 are drawing something like 400-450W. Pretty soon were gonna have to have dedicated circuits for our PCs.

I kinda of hope shit starts leveling off power wise. Then we can focus on making the best of what we got, graphics are pretty damn good these days.

Already put one in so my PC wouldn't be on the same breaker as any air conditioners, vacuums, etc. A home laser printer can draw like 1300W while heating the toner.

That said, despite all these insane CPU/GPU TDP numbers my PC never actually breaks 500W sustained. If GPUs go up another 100 watts you're still not going to see more than 650W sustained.
