My youngest is graduating high school. He has played hockey since he was 4, and his whole hockey team challenged the parents to a scrimmage this week. I can't wait. The kids are going to absolutely slaughter us, but it's going to be a chance to let them shine with their parents around. There will be a lot of laughter, and a lot of making the last decade and a half worth while. The kids will take great delight in skating around us, and I can't wait for them to do it. This is a proud parenting moment. All those years of driving them to practice, watching games, coaching, all of it to give them a chance to beat the shit out of us.
I can't wait.
