Almost been a full year and feels like not much has changed. Campaign is such a slog. Upgrades? Hah, use the trade site! Body blocking is still a thing (better than release though) with no real movement skills. Game looks a little better than POE so I guess that's cool.

Got through act 1 with only 5 ex and 1 regal, so crafting gear still isn't an option, and only enough gold to buy a few things from the vendor if you're lucky. If they want to keep the early acts at the current difficulty level they really need to up the drop rates across the board. Experienced players will manage but new or low skill players are going to keep hitting a brick wall and just bounce from the game.

I'm not playing but I did watch the reveal/annoucement video. Jonathon may be the best dev or manager in the world. But they really should get someone else to be the "face" of those type of things.

I am still in act 1. Fun so far. Feels like the usual arpg that is just slow going at these levels. Have to kite bigger packs. Only a couple things seem to give me trouble. There was these knights in a mausoleum that reflected every shot at me and those reflects did crazy dmg. If I got them with a bigger pack of mobs, or those abyss invasions it was alot of kiting. If they were alone or in a small group of mobs, could get melee and shoot, dodge, shoot, dodge so they didnt reflect anything. The other thing is occasionally getting corned by a ton of mobs and you are just stuck and better pray you can kill fast enough before you die. I assume later you have movement abilities like teleport, leap or something to avoid those situations.

5k gold so far, been able to buy any upgrades from vendor I find. Even some yellows.

Does it just get rougher later? Usually the first couple acts are the slowest and things just speed up from there.

Dunno how hard it will be later on since they added the new act and interludes instead of rerunning acts a second time

Another issue im finding is the lack of support gems. I get all sorts of skill gems to drop, like ALOT, but the supports are lacking. Maybe its jut RNG? but it feels bad.

When I was first hearing about this game my initial impression of Jonathon seemed great. His answers were solid, it felt like he was a gamer, in the end just like the Everquest ponytail faggot he is just a used car salesman. Hyping up shit they can never deliver on, never will deliver on.

I probably should load this up and give it another go I haven't really touched it at all other than the first couple of months after release. I am glad to hear they are addressing some of the issues but it sounds like this fucking thing needs to bake for another 2-3 years for them to actually finish the fucking job.

That sounds like RNG or you're swapping skills a lot. I have support gems just piling up in my bank.

I just started act 4 and the game is such a breeze this time around. I did manage to craft an insane bow at level 28 though:

Because mine's a little better, I put a Mist Whisper in the bank, so if anyone else is playing LA, take it, it's also pretty nuts.

Sprint is such a massive help with the "slog" of the early game. Great addition.

That said, they still need to consider chopping down the size of some of the maps. While the game feels a lot different at the higher end, those early acts will really suck balls once we've done them 700 times.

Hmm I almost too many of these. Granted I am doing a lot of the optional stuff in this guide that reward a support gem too.

Getting made to feel like a real potato trying to interact with this weapon swap skill point system after ascending to Witch Hunter and taking the 100 point node.

Thanks to whoever left the bow in the stash.....doubled my damage.

Went from taking 3+ mins on Rathbreaker last night to downing the mines boss in like 30 seconds or less.

My gear still sucks and campaign is painful to replay, but getting there.

Minions making a comeback from 0.2 when I rage quit them is awesome.

Act 4 is a nice change, but still pretty huge maps.

So I re-rolled into Bens build today to a Ranger. Looks like pretty much 90% using galvanic shards. Cant beleve how different RNG is from one character to another. Its crazy. The first character had shit for drops, this Ranger is dropping all kinds of shit. Im almost at the point where my other character was at. ITs funny how quicker 2nd goes when you know WTF to do and go.

Tasking a break though, my ass fucking hurts.
