I.. I had no idea that.. well, gearing had became so fucking crazy in this game. I knew about a couple parts, but the extent of this is just .. a lot.
Basically nerfs all 2h martial weapons, not only bows. Staves, Bows, maces.... And yeah, basically removes god tiered weapons people were rolling day one. Maybe shit for running them, but good for the game. I mean at the surface its stupid to allow 3 perfect essence to be used on a single item. POE1 never allowed this either. Only 1 per. This removes the ability to make weapons (mostly specifically bows) using 3 essences that always come out the same and can clear all endgame content.
People are gonna be mad cause they always are, but this had to happen. The floor for weapon crafting was way, way too high.
It's unclear, until they show the actual item, which they haven't yet I think. Technically it is a guaranteed outcome, but it's also only changing one resist for another resist, not allowing you to get more resist, or changing the amount of affixes or anything crazy, so they might actually be excluded from the limitations. Just gonna have to wait, if they are I assume a lot of people will bitch about it and they'll change it anyway, it doesn't make much sense for these fluxes to be counted as the same thing as essences adding an entire deterministic mod to your item.Would the resist switching fluxes count as a crafted mod since they are literally guaranteeing the resulting mod, thus not being able to add another crafted mod on top of the item?
Not to mention the changes they are making to the bases as well, and will continue to do so after 0.5 like he mentioned. We really don't know enough about the new crafting stuff they have added to say just how bad that updated change will actually be.
The huge nerf is all you needed to hit was high %phys and flat phys or some elemental and you could put onslaught/+ attack skills and attack speed for suffixes with no effort.I saw that crafting nerf and outside of maybe fracturing and recombinator, which is removed, I'm unaware of multi crafting shit with "crafted" mods. I'm sure there are some, but for normal players I don't think it mattered at all unless buying some giga item "failure" some one is selling as an upgrade to our own build.
I saw a lot of people saying "This is a HUGE NERF", but then no specific examples really pointed out. I'm sure there are some, but I think for the majority of the players it wasn't on our radar.
Abyssal modifiers aren't considered crafting modifiers though and that's how people were finishing off most of their crafts. The huge nerf is all you needed to hit was high %phys and flat phys or some elemental and you could put onslaught/+ attack skills and attack speed for suffixes with no effort.
Perfect Essences actually are different, they replace a mod by the one on the essence on a rare. Lesser-Greater Essences are like regals with deterministic stuff.I really dont know how they were using those perfect essences 3x on an item when it explicitly states that it upgrades a magic item to a rare. So once its rare, how the fuck are they slamming another essence onto it?
Here's how it generally works to make an uber weapon:I really dont know how they were using those perfect essences 3x on an item when it explicitly states that it upgrades a magic item to a rare. So once its rare, how the fuck are they slamming another essence onto it?
