Anyone happen to know what the ideal Frost Bomb support setup is? I see a lot of people using Short Fuse II but the way I understood it is that severely gimps the amount of exposure the spell applies. I have been using Overabundance II, Spell Echo, Potent Exposure, and Magnified Area II, but I'm not sure that's correct either.

Probably the most fun I've ever had in POE. If they can fix the early game a bit, add the new classes and finish the story they've got a great foundation. Helps having a god tier build and items as I mow down everything in front of me, but that's the fun part of these games. It's why the beginning is so painful because level 90 is a completely different game from 60 which is a completely different game from lvl 10. Feels like mutliple different games stitched through one outlet and the one at the end is by far the most enjoyable.

Thanks, good to know I have been using it correctly all along (that was a typo in the previous post, I had Overabundance I not II). Definitely not using a 6L on Frost Bomb at this stage in the league.

Freezing + shatter explosions are so satisfying. Just can’t figure out why sometimes my frag round does hardly any damage on frozen mobs, and other items can do like nearly half a unique mobs health.

Yeah that's the problem for me though. I don't want to play a shitty game in order to play a fun one. Maybe I'm just ARPG'd out having played 0.4 and then a D4 season + expansion, but I couldn't make it past act 2 this time. It also seems to be hit or miss whether or not I'm going to enjoy the class I picked once I get to the end game so I'm basically gambling my time investment for a chance at a fun gaming experience.

It's not an actual arpg when you have to go slow as shit and play dark souls/bullet hell style fights, never has been never will be. PoE devs have had a hard on for forcing people to play slow ass drawn out fights and bullet hell etc. for a long ass time for some reason, despite the fact that literally every single time people all go the route of bypassing that shit by any means.

Whether it's mine boss alts or whatever else in PoE 1 or paying 37850380993989 divs in poe2 for temporalis to avoid taking 37 minutes to slowboat through a white map at 0.002 miles per hour, or everyone swapping to whatever builds the streamers show that can actually clear mobs in the past leagues when the options were more limited.

There's a story?

Kidding aside, I realized after getting to the end of the campaign yet again that I actually have no fucking idea what this "beast" we're chasing all over the place is.
the beast was the prominent foe from PoE's....i guess early access stage of the game, big eyeball & tentacle lovecraft monster that flesh-creeped all inside a mountain. In the initial game the "eternal empire" (dead civilization. rome) had built near that mountain to refine "virtue gems" (skill gems). out of it's flesh and carapace like the ancient vaal did. The origional villians Piety and Dominas was using those gems to to try to get real powerful.

then at some point you defeat it...and i turns out sin had created the beast because it essentially steals the power of gods and makes those into gems mortals can use, instead of gods being petty tyrants over the rest of humanity. it also put sin asleep during this era. then the devs went "lol, no more cthulu monster, fight gods now". then 2 hours later the devs went "lol, just kidding, gods are chumps back to the beast" and Sin goes around with you killing the gods.

then in PoE 2 in the opening/trailer cutscene showing the count of ogham and a party of soldiers "killing" the robed one, and stealing his weird orb, it had the seed of the beast in it....but even by campaigns end we don't really understand the motivation of the people who shipping, dragging, and towing t he beast around as it re-grows. if i had to take a WILD guess their plan is to...put the gods to sleep, and then get powerful using the virtue gems. again. for the....4th or 5th time.
