Coming in the impending major patch 2.5 that will accompany the launch of the Game of the Year Edition (you’ll learn more about that soon!), the update tweaks and improves many aspects of this Mythic path.
""Instead of focusing all our resources on a single large quest like we did with the Devil in the previous update, this time we’ve taken a lighter but more sweeping touch, placing an emphasis on reactivity throughout the story.
We started from a concern voiced by many of our players — that unlike other late-game Mythics (Legend, Swarm, Devil), the transition to the Gold Dragon felt somewhat rushed and ‘‘out of the blue” for the Commanders who lacked an existing connection to a draconic heritage.
To address this, we prepared two new full-scale (pun intended!) dragon-themed religions:
Apsu
and
Dahak
, available at character creation.
Each of these new religions will serve as a smooth buildup toward the Gold Dragon path for players who want their story to naturally tie into this Mythic but don’t want to be locked into picking one of the dragon-themed archetypes. Both of these religions have a lot of reactivity across the game, some of it exclusively to the Gold Dragon.
Additionally, we’ve added two new story beats available only for the Gold Dragon, where their wisdom of millennia has a chance to make two certain well-known characters take an unexpected turn to the path of good and redemption. This will, of course, be reflected in the epilogue slides.
Yeeah I dont mind paying them more for it, its just I dont want to pay for it ALL, if you know what I mean. Another one of those that are on my holiday break list. Playing through their Warhammer RT again right now, but its going quicker than I anticipated, plus Ive been sinking some hardcore hours into it.Worth paying them some money for it. They did upgrade the Kingmaker one so they might do it again here.

My experience was that it was hardly buggy at all. The game balance is absolute dogshit, probably because the game engine they were adapting has never been adapted for a CRPG before and they were left flying by the seat of their pants. Doesn't take long for a properly built MC to become a nearly invincible killing machine even on higher difficulty levels and the power level of companions is wildly inconsistent. Is RT any good? I heard it is still super buggy. WOTR is amazeballs, but I had planned on waiting another year or so on RT before diving in.
Mostly agree and don't remember any specific bugs when I played at release, even though I am sure I hit some. It should be smooth sailing in that regard now.My experience was that it was hardly buggy at all. I don't regret picking it up (on sale) but I don't know that I'll ever feel the urge to play through it again when I could revisit WotR instead. About all I can really say for RT is that I'd replay it before I'd ever consider replaying Kingmaker.
Greetings, Pathfinders!
We are happy to announce that together with the latest content update 2.5.0 we are releasing the Game of the Year Edition! We will still be working on fixing bugs and you can expect some quality improvements to the game in the near future, but we have no plans to add any more new content.

Freedom of movement provides immunity to wild gaze and it has a duration in minutes per level. In an emergency holy-aura and its 3 evil/law/chaos alternates provide immunity to mind-affecting for rounds per level. All the Wild Hunt you have to chop through in the last two acts is though with some medusa thrown in. The stuff it doesn't block you only run in to a little and it's all in the middle-ish of the game.

Except feats are limited, freedom of movement should be part of any standard buff package anyway, and both games are kind enough to provide you with a very usable ranger companion to spread the lvl 4 spell slot burden out a bit. Or if you're an omega try-hard a brown fur transmuter merc in wotr can hand out echolocation.Naw that's alright I'll just take the feat rather than buffing more.

Blind fight is one of those 'well i guess i have nothing else to grab at 18' kind of feats.
If we're talking about just Kingmaker then I guess it's a tolerable choice since you're playing without all the shit that makes buffing even stronger in WotR. Even if everyone had blind fight I'd still be buffing with freedom of movement though, it provides immunity to so many potentially crippling things beyond just wild gaze. Jubilost can also take a discovery that lets him cast personal infusions on other people so echolocation can handle all those sight issues, although then we run back into you wanting to cut back on how many buffs you have to manage.I've been buffing in d20 game systems for almost twenty-five years now. It'll be 25 in August. I'm over it. I take Blind Fight at 9 towards the end of the Summer of Bloom. There's plenty of blur/displacement/stealth/invis shenanigans in Kingmaker to go along with the gaze attacks plus it keeps me from needing to manage another buff I don't want to manage? Sign me the fuck up.
I'm way too deep in to Kingmaker to use default or semi-default characters. Everyone gets ran through the respec mod.
My real question is...why replay Kingmaker? I think I'd dig the OG Baldur's Gate 1/2 or NWN back out before I played through Kingmaker again.
