I remember a time years ago when Best Buy was erroring out and not billing correctly, but they still "processed" the order and shipped it out despite never completing the order or sending a confirmation email. Once it was delivered they sent out a "you owe us for this" notice.

So i wouldn't count on anything Best Buy does making any sense whatsoever, you're not even guaranteed to get one yet.

Mine should be here next Thursday. L33t. Now to sell or keep... updated pc with 3080 and 5900x so not sure if I even need ps5.

Hopefully by the time Sony enables the m.2 slot there's a bunch of competition with Samsung for drives that actually meet the spec requirements. The Samsung drive isn't a total "bend the consumer over for a no-lube assfucking" like the MS expansion slot but it's still way more than any sane person should spend on a 1TB SSD.

How's that going to work online? My local town isn't a huge city, but it's got a couple of Super Walmarts, but despite this, I have to compete against the world to put an order through online? doesn't seem to make sense.

Same as preorders. Just hope you’re quick enough to get one at the times they will be stocking them.

There will always be great games on PS that you can't play on PC.

Since they won't do shipping you have to compete with a 500ish mile range? Maybe bigger, I don't know

I reckon it depends on whether they are putting consoles up for online shipping / ship-to-store or if they are shipping them to stores first and then allowing the first X people to buy them with the Same Day Pickup option.

I thought it was the inventory each store gets and pickup only, which I assume is because places like best buy, walmart, and targets keep online and store inventories separated still even tho you can "shop" from the same site

Finally got a shipping update today. Lol I got my pre order from Radio Shack during the craziness. Set for the 12ty which is great as it had been the 19th on both of my preorders.

I also got a Walmart one that still says the 19th
